Just in case sea levels weren't rising fast enough, plans are underway to construct a huge mine in the arctic but first all that pesky ice needs to be melted away!

I heard about this on the latest Keiser report. Max talks about some of the reality behind what we are told about the appearance/disappearance of ice these days. Check it out for some other great recent news concerning the economy, environment and more:

Steel is mostly iron, most metal things nowadays are steel.

Being thus in Canada is pro-liberal. However, the reasoning is the control on population growth in the national interest for at all costs lower taxes for a maintained surplus of taxation vs. revenue from the growing companies of special metals and the basic oil company, Suncor, sending to Iceland and Europe. Pro-liberal is against Obama's ambitions on Canada.

Am I the only stupid one here?:biker:

Nope, just the only one whose grammar is so bad and choice of words is so obscure and ill-fitting that HE NEVER MAKES ANY SENSE.

I can't understand why the CO2 resolve for just baring it. Such baring is against no less than violent consequences: Man against Nature; nature against Man; Man against man when the level of concentration reaches above 355 ppm should be like this. Life on earth in greenhouses; people reacting to coal generation in China. Bearable life becomes an ignorant soup stench. And people do nothing but complain about their money being sent on time, is there enough patterns to the economy to realize the overcoming of scarcity. We or the chinese working class should be up in arms at the governments of the undealt progress in the focusing on local economic issues. "Criminals of the World Unite" is what these governments' sentiments seem to call into question. And the people remain the one's at fault. It seems to be that the world is for regarding the science for it's observation as the sole basis excusing why people won't make peace with each other.

There are no more iron ore mines left operating in the USA. All new steel-based products are made from recycled steel these days because of the overall abundance of scrap steel. That itself goes to show how valuable iron ore really is.

The only iron ore mines left operating in the world are in lesser developed nations. Although I'm not sure about China though.

Granted, if they happened to remove all the ice from Antarctica, I bet they'd find a vast amount of untouched valuable minerals. Until then, we'll just have to wait until the Antarctic continental plate migrates further north.

And yet, hemp plastic = 10 times stronger than steel.

300 miles is notjing compared to the actual size and volume of the ice caps

this is like taking a piss in the ocean and worrying about it causing a tsunami

we're in a cooling period now, but if there was some warming that reduced the extent of sea ice, it would help to enable the development of needed natural resources in the Arctic region. I think such development is a good thing, but the Greenshirts - who have a virulent hatred of development and of humanity in general - think such projects are "crimes against Mother Earth" (or some equivalent cult mantra).

Ice caps come and go in the transitions of summer and winter.

Iron ore my ass. This is just an excuse for increased activity in the area. Sure we might be able to squeeze a few more dollars out of the place, but it IS the next frontier of occupation.

It was only a matter of time before we start moving shit up there in bulk, think about it.
