last night i woke up and my tattoo on my back was peeled..(new one since friday) i thought it was just vasaline...so i got a wash rag and pressed against the tat and washed over it and put some more vasaline on it and went back to bed...then this morning when showering i did the same thing...and little ink peels fell off...seems the tat got barley little lighter which i figured was normal anyways because thats what makes since with a peel...but then i got on the computer and read about how your suppost to wash it and be very easy with the peel...do i have to much to worry about as far as tattoo fading away if i dont wash it that hard again for the next week and half?i was just suprised by the peeling and didnt know that happened..
The skin will peel in the colors of the tattoo. It is normal. You do want to let it peel by itself and not pick or scratch at it because this can cause the tattoo to heal rough and some ink to fall out. Its impossible to say how the tattoo will turn out without seeing it, but if you don't see any places where you've picked the ink out, you're probably ok. I would switch over to a plain body lotion after it has began to peel. Vaseline can cause clogged pores.
i havent scrathed at but it seems like everytime i bump it into something accidental..(the one on my hand,got one on hand and back same time)peel falls off and its black peel..its really pissing me off...cause i dont know how much easier to be with it..and if this keeps off hell the whole thing might just peel off...like in regular lighting it looks fine..but if its real bright you can see where peels
have fallen off and where the ink was black it almost looks kinda purple..idk i just wish it would hurry up and heal...cause its aggravating me to see it peel cause now i dont know how much of a damn tat ima have in two weeks....btw it does look fine...im probley just over exagerating being this my first proffesioonal tattoo
Ive been tattoin for over ten years,the first 3 daysA&D then moisturizer if you dont use A&D the moisturizer will burn just dont pick at it or pull scabs off your tattoo ,it shouldn't scab anyway ,it will look a little dull during the healing process three weeks should be plenty of healing time there really is anything you can do to screw it up to badly ,it really depends on how it was done weather it will look good or not
yes, use A&D. never use vaseline, not even on your girlfriend. has petroleum in it.scabbing is part of the healing process. Do what your Tattooist said to do.In this state you should have gotten an after care sheet. read it.
