So right now the Conference on World Affairs is goin on at CU boulder and they have been having some of the conferences at my school so that students can come watch them. Basically what they are is that 4 experts sit up at a table on the stage and go over their views on a topic and then answer pre-written questions and then questions by students and community members. So far the conferences have been pretty interesting, and today we had one on Marijuana Policies. First of all, it is so awesome that they would let us have a conference on this topic in a high school. Everyone knows that high schoolers smoke pot, but most people either criticize it or turn a blind eye on the issue. The experts we had were two politicians from Washington DC, a doctor from California and another guy... I missed what he does. They all were very realistic about the use of pot, and all said that it should be decriminalized and eventually legalized. They all handled the issue really well, explaining why most politicians would say it is illegal, and then saying why this is unrealistic an why it really should be legalized. It was kind of weird being there with my teachers and stuff but it was really awesome.

because its not good to legalize an intoxicating substance i guess, and it would lower the workforces productivity. but really they thought it was because pharmaceutical companies can't make a profit on it because it is not patentable, and also none of the bigwigs would benefit from legalization.
dude you live in boulder i know poeple that get dank ass ounces for 250-300 up there and this one bitch that came up to kansas cuzz she goes to college up there and said they had a 420 meeting session written on the score board you know there pro pot but in this place called leawood kansas u get hella critisism from any adult besides the 1 out of 50 parents that toke
They wont make money off of it if it's decriminalized true, but the politicians themselves aren't personally profiting from it being illegal either.
yeah but many of them do profit from prescription drugs and alcohol which theoretically are in competition with mj
