modern jam bands

ya so im now discovering the beautiful music of today's new jam bands and id just like to know some more so just tell me some please!

how about you tell us the ones you already know?

 

Go to the music forum here, and the subforum for Grateful dead/phish/jam bands etc.. can't remember the name but you'll see it.

My favourite newer jam bands are String Cheese Incident, Moe., Keller Williams, Phish, Gov't Mule, Umphrey's McGee, Yonder Mountain String Band... but I also really like of courrrrse, grateful dead, and Allman Brothers.

soulive is one of my all time favorites. their a jazzy funkadelic jam band with alot of energy.

lotus and disco biscuits are my faves. most others sound a bit unoriginal.

I worship Phish. Seriously.

 

o man i have a friend who has like 300 hundred cds of theirs of like all these live shows and stuff its ridiculous, but he hooks m eup with alot of it so its cool

 

i must apologise if this is a dupe, i have not gone back and read the previous posts, but for people interested in good jam bands, the Mars Volta are the cream of the crop at the moment. from psychedelic ambience to amazing guitar theatrics, they are awesome.

just dont judge them by the single, since it was edited from a 12 minute song to a 3 and a half minute song...
