Montreal school shooting

Man... there's been a shooting today downtown in Montreal at Dawson College (as I figure those news probably wont pass in the states, or will, for a minute or 2... because the U.S. are well.. ye know).

Some guy barged in and injured about more than 20 people... and a few got shot in the head, and we dunno how many deaths yet... the police had to kill the man carrying the weapon...

So to all of you pro-gun fuckers... this is what guns do... its not called a school shooting for nothing... someone could barge in to a school with a knife like you will probably reply... but it will be futile...

So... you go back to shooting your fuckin animals in your fuckin forests, hang them on your wall... be proud, be proud that youre filled with testosterone and need to prove something... keep on shooting your fuckin cans in your backyard, keep on having that little fuckin pistol in your drawer for protection... but really man... this is what guns do... Of course the guy was probably sick for doing this... but a sick man that has access to a gun is much more deadly then one whom has access to a knife or any thing that could be considered a "weapon"... and really... guns are fuckin useless... like I said, have a good night sleeping next to that deer you shot back in 1998, or with your beer cans all piled up in your backyward... but wait until the day something chances your perception, or something fucks up your life, such as a simple depression... and that gun will be the easiest access, and in my opinion, the choice that takes the least balls... to self-destruction, or the one of others.

And Phil. I must TOTALLY disagree with you and am on the verge of calling you a hypocrite. I bet your dealer...or dealers supplier (if you have one, and if you don't, i apologise) has a hand-gun. I Do think that hand-guns should be illegal though.

I do agree with the PAL card, but only if shop-owners acctually check it.

Equating responsible sportsman with a crazed murderer (I am going to reference the womens massacre from the 70's) is like equating ... hell, i don't even know what it is like, but yeah, this sucks, but you need to cool down i think.

The only way to stop this kind of thing is to have the good guys outnumber and outarm the bad guys. These cowards knew no one would be shooting back. Running and hiding doesn't work, nor does calling 911.

There is someone close to my family who had guns, and like a bunch of very very nice people, of course, had a gun and used it for hunting and such ... but one day he had lost a lot of money, and and his wife left him a few years later... that gun was always used well... but after those events he inflicted damage on his own self, and commited suicide...
For people who have tough periods in their lives, depression (which happens at least once to practically 80% of the population)... etc a gun will be the best escape way... in no way will they reach for help... a gun is there at the disposal...
Last year if I had a gun, I would of probably taken my life away... In the bathroom before going to bed Id think about harming myself... but Id always be afraid of pain... the impossibility of me having access to a gun (actually its there. but i never had the motivation to do anything) gave me time to work things out in my mind for a few months... but to a person suffering of mental disorders, or even a small depression... some periods can be extremely tough...and a gun, if already owned, will be used, or will be thought of being used... when you're sick in the head, theres no limit to yourself and the gun... you just wanna take it and finish it... but to someone living on a breeze, he'll never have that problem

and please tell me andrcs ... what properties do guns have except for piercing something through... most of the time, something living... or for complete boredom, cans. And shooting is not even a sport... does it work the cardio... does it work the muscles (maybe the arms)... but I could do more exercise from taichi then from shooting cans for an extended period of time

EDIT: oh and burby, im sorry to disapoint... but I have no dealer... what I use is legal in Canada or not even recognized as something edible... and for cannabis, its grown... as I dont agree with supporting the black marget of drugs... and the others stuff i just dont do anymore...

Even scarier is when the other person has a gun, and you don't.

Guns will always be out there, illegal or not. If you don't have a gun and know how to use it, then you are an easy victim and are part of the problem. It really is your civic duty to defend yourself against scum. That is what deters cowards, someone that fights back. Concealed carry licensing is the best thing that can happen. What you get is the good guys out there packing heat. Crying about guns and how they are worthless does not solve the problem.

 

I agree it does not... but there has to be a certain opposition to create a balance. Its just how everything works. And on this gun subject, I just happen to relate more with the opposition... For I feel no need to own a gun, and don't think there should be one in anyone that surrounds me.

BUT I am sad to hear of that loss of the man close to your family, but if he really wanted to die, he would have found a way. It is like saying we should make cars not fit in garages, ban rope, etc. i was going to put something liek this in my original post about banning knifes (all kinda) etc but opted out.

speaking as a hunter, I prefer wild game I killed, cleaned, and butchered over raised game any day. And it helps control the population of the animals, but this isn't a hunting debate.
