Morning Twilight

You know how they say twilight is that moment just after the sun goes down and some stars start twinkling away? Is there a name for that period of the morning just before the sun comes up? Is it just twilight?

i thought it was called dawn . this morning i felt like dawn of the dead badly hungover man .

 

It could be dawn, I don't know.

according to Thesaurus.com, twilight is an antonym of dawn rather than a synonym.

it did mention "daylight" though, which could be twilight's little buddy.

synonyms as cited by thesaurus.com: aurora, bright, cockcrow, dawning, day peep, daybreak, daylight, early bright, first blush, first light, light, morn, morning, sunrise, sunup, wee hours

so it could be one of these.

 

I think we were looking for the antonym of twilight ... dawn it is
Dawn is to twilight what sunrise is to sunset.

 

Would have to agree it's dawn, and I'd say dusk is the same as twilight....

 

'daybreak'? another synonym for dawn and antonym of twilight/dusk
