all those cities include the suburbs...... I never found st louis to be all that scary of a city either, but east st louis makes it that way......... but I never venture to east st louieeee haha..... I find most of downtown kc scary as fuck, but its nowhere in that list.

 

I'm surprised Philly isn't on there. Camden is pretty bad, dirty too.

 

What happens in these areas? Are they full of gangs and thugs? I've heard that Detroit is full of crime and assholes

I always thought that Compton was seriously bad but it didn't even make the top 5...

well, springfield MA is one sketchy place...don't go there too often.

 

It's right on the border between NJ and PA, a lot of philly gangs take their drama there because it won't be suspected. It's very dirty and right on a water front. There are a lot of murders and homeless people. Its pretty scary to drive through.

 

Detroit is scary as fuck but Flint is not....... parts can be but as a whole there is alot of nice things around Flint. But Detroit for the most part just shit.

 

Springfield was like 19 on the list... Camden, NJ must be a melting pot

the kids would be out in the streets until 3 or 4 am..

A friend, not living in a bad part of town, was shot and killed while he got groceries out of his car. Guy was the least likely person to anger anyone. The shooter was probably just making his bones for a gang.

Another friend, living in a not so great place for a white guy (though he's never had any trouble and is well liked by his neighbors), got set on by a crowd of ten or so. They punched and kicked him, tried to get his bike away from him. He finally broke free.

Not one weekend goes by that there isn't something in the paper about someone getting shot, stabbed, mugged, raped, broken into, car stolen, etc.

There are parts of town where this sort of thing doesn't happen (at least on a regular basis). There are other parts of town that are so bad, you're surprised when it doesn't happen.

 

i'm so sorry. eek. that is the scariest place to me.
mainly cause i had a friend who lived there who gave me the statistic on how many shootings happened in one year a few years ago.. it was about 1 year other day. .. a little more than that, actually.
