most overhyped drug?

What drug from THESE choices do you think is the most overhyped? By that I mean which drug were you told or read wonderful things about and upon PERSONAL experience you were let down. So to clarify you have to have tried the drug yourself.

I realize there are other substances that are not on this list you may have been let down by, but I'm mainly interested in some of the more common ones and not something like 3 meo PCP or some shit.

For me personally I was let down by cocaine. I know its not as pure as it used to be but I gave it plenty of opportunities with being told a few times we had 'good stuff' and the quick rush and high was not as euphoric and amazing as friends had built it up to be and certainly not worth the comedown and after effects.

 

For me, it's mdma... BUT i don't think I've had a fair assessment of it yet. I've only had it once and it was a disappointment. It felt like a threshold dose of 2c-i and I was pretty bored and sleepy halfway through. Then again, my bf at the time who dosed on a bomb from the same batch as me, said he was rolling balls and had a great time.

Could have been a number of factors contributing to my sub-par experience... They could have been bunk (but my ex said it was good?)... I remember I dosed straight after coming home from work, so I was probably tired and not in the best frame of mind. Also, it was towards the tail end of our rocky relationship and I viewed it as a sort of "last hurrah" for us. I also did 2c-i frequently around that time in my life and probably had a dose a few days prior to the E so maybe it was a tolerance issue.

Nonetheless, I am going to give Molly another go round very soon and I will make sure I go into this trip with an open mind and open heart

 

For me, it was a tossup between MDMA and DXM. MDMA because there isn't much to be said, imo, about just feeling euphoric. Also, empathenogenic qualities can be experienced on many drugs. That being said, I still like MDMA, based on my limited experience, but it doesn't seem nearly as wonderful as everyone makes it out to be. I can see it being amazing when mixed with powerful psychedelics though.

I ended up voting for DXM though. It just feels "dirty" and completely uninteresting, imo. Most of the times I've done it, it felt more like I'd been poisoned, as opposed to feeling like I'd been "enhanced". The only DXM experience I've ever enjoyed was when I mixed it with xanax. That was decent. Other than that, I've always hated it.

 

i tried this one drug called gob or something like that and my friends were saying so much good things about. i took some when we all went to the beach one time, but no crazy visuals like what they were making it out to be. It just made me act stupid as fuck. I was a hot mess that day

 

I say PCP, cause ppl just say you are going to freak the fuck out and do stupid shit and don't remember it.

I'd like to have a PCP experience, just to try it. Maybe I'll run around the streets naked yelling "I use grape sode as anal douche" Hahahahaha

But out of your choices, I say weed. Noone has ever dies from weed, you can use it medicinally, but yet it's illegal. When ppl die from alcohol everyday and kill other people...

 

I agree with you. Cocaine was made to seem like THE SHEIT. Then again, I was way younger and a lot less experienced.

But yeah, everyone made it seem like the thing to do in HS.. but it wasn't. Cocaine is in my top 2 gayest drugs, followed by meth.

I just dont like the way it makes me sleepy and impairs me...
but it's also one of my favourite drugs.

voted cocaine as well... shit's so whack, you'd think spending a bunch of money on a drug would mean it's going to be an amazing time....WRONG

DXM or PCP

Dex cause now it makes me feel dirty and burnt, but the first few times it was mad awesome, and now it's done a full 180

PCP because it was just highly disappointing, I didn't flip cars over, assault cops, get naked and run through the streets, or anything. But no really it was just like doing a lot of DXM without the bad parts of DXM.

nah, I voted for coke too. I've never went through the trouble to buy it because I have been given a little for free on multiple occasions, and it seemed like an incredibly dangerous, dirty waste of money.

To be honest the most impressive thing about it was, I knew it could numb your mouth because I'd seen people like brush their teeth with their finger with it. But wow. Novocaine ain't got shit on cocaine.

as for the high, it was mild at best even when it was supposedly 'fishscale' (whatever the fuck that means) The most I got was a racing heart, palms sweated a little, and 45 minutes later I was cranky. Not impressed.

At the end of it I thought, the amount of money this costs, the risk involved in dealing with it, and the places from which it comes are just not worth the buzz at all.

 

From your description of how you obtained the drug, the quantities you were around, and your admiration for it's ability to numb your mouth, I'm not too confident you really got to experience cocaine for all it's worth

 

Well I liked coke a little bit before I discovered mdma. Your post is how I feel about the MDMA posts.

Coke is to short and fiendish for me, this may sound weird but the conversation just feels way more shallow and empty to me than with MDMA, also Its nowhere near as euphoric. I personally never felt much aphrodisiac qualities on it. There's no eye candy, music for me isn't nearly as enhanced as some other substances. Its expensive. And the comedown just made me feel like shit about myself and cynical about others.
