I am in love with foreign film. Any suggestions for good raw cinematography. I am no prude, which I think is a requirement for foreign film buffs. Suggestions please? My most recent film that I watched was the cement garden and the dreamers
run lola run the bicycle thief thomas in love all foreign.. i forget where the other two are from but 'the bicycle thief' is an old italian flick in black and white
Pan's Labyrinth (Spanish: El laberinto del fauno, "The Faun's Labyrinth") https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5d4f1nyLgg"]YouTube - Pan's Labyrinth Trailer A very heavy/sad movie, but well done, imo.
Best ones I have seen: Let the Right One In - Swedish vampire movie The Memory of a Killer - Belgian movie about an old assassin with Alzheimer's An Affair of Love/Une liaison pornographique - a French film about two people meeting up for an undisclosed kinky sex act and developing more of a relationship over subsequent meets
holy shit, how did I forget Downfall - best Nazi movie, and maybe war movie, ever. Also: Intacto - this Italian movie about a secret organization that takes people with extreme luck (sole survivors) and has them do high stakes gambling (such as running across a highway blindfolded) and steals people's luck and stuff.
Das Experiment is another one to check out if you like Downfall. Another German film that is similar stylistically. This is a dramatization of the Stanford prison experiment, where things get a lot crazier. And come to think of it, 'The Lives of Others' is another German film that just barely didn't make my first list. About a surveillance agent for the secret police getting a bit engrossed in the lives of a controversial playwright and his lover.
How about this beautiful french film "Une liaison pornographique ",The alternative American tittle "An affair of love" It is NOT a pornographic film .
Yeah, Pans Labyrinth is one of my favourites As for this neck of the woods, not quite what you would call foreign as they are in english, but the best Aussie film of the last decade was Wolf Creek IMO, but most aussie movies are shit
