Just checking out the site. Thought I would post. I am moving and I dont know where. I have lived in NY for the last four years working for a funding company. I kinda lost myself there. So I packed up all the carpentry tools and skis and Im going to ski and build with my hands. Maby some people here have some suggestions on a cool place to be and get back to the simple things. I am looking for some good suggestions.

Read some of the threads so you can get the gist of what topics are being discussed. When you feel comfortable jump right in and get your feet wet. Nobody here is going to "Flame" you, that just isn’t tolerated here (unless it’s necessary) lol. We get some assholes here who just want to stir up bad vibes... From what I’ve found so far is that we are one big family with many brothers and sisters. I also have land and my own place...I lead a rather isolated life out here in the country...I live by one of Minnesota's 10,000 lakes...I only wish that I could help you out with your quest for like minded people, but at this time in my life I don't have too many contacts (by my choice)...Perhaps there are other folk on, "The Hip Forums," that can help and you just need to be patient...you never know what you might find, good things come to those who wait. Well I have it figured out. I am going to the thanksgiving council in Colorado. Does anyone need a ride gonna be a long one. I am leaving the east coast in the next day or so.
