SO, for the past two years or so, I've had two periods almost every month. They each last 4-5 days. The first one usually starts around the 4th and then the second one starts two weeks after that one ends.

So, I had one two and half weeks ago..and started another one just last night...even though I've had two already this month..

What the hell is going on with my bodY?!??
Does this mean I'm just extra fertile? Or that maybe I'm not that fertile at all?
I've asked my mom to let me get on birth control...but she says it's not a big deal and I'm overreacting. She's not taking this seriously and i'm really worried about it. She says it's just inconvenient for me and that I should just get over it...um yeah, easy for her to say!!!

I'm so pissed off and frustrated. What do I do?

Is one heavier and lasting longer than the other? Do you have a DivaCup to capture the blood and get a rough estimate of how much you bleed each time.

It might be that your body likes to bleed at ovulation (roughly halfway through your cycle), so then you'd have menstruation, bleed at ovulation two-three weeks later, and then menstruate 12-16 after that. That makes sense?

If they are all fairly consistent as far as amount, I'd see a reproductive endocrinologist about your hormone levels. :)

Generally what's happening is that you have faster cycles than most women. It usually takes 28 days for the average women's body to go through the 4 stages of the reproductive cycle. Normally, the first stage would take about 14 days, where you would have an increasing level of estrogen in your body as your egg is maturing in your ovary. The high levels of estrogen then stimulate the release of the egg (ovulation) on about day 15, and send a positive feedback to your brain alerting your body to produce progesterone, along with estrogen, which is what prepares your uterus for implanation of a fertilized egg. It takes another 10-15 days (depending on the women's cycle) for the egg to travel down the fallopian tubes and the unterine lining to shed if it's not fertilized.
so, that being said, you may have higher hormone levels, which is stimulating more mentral cycles. Often exercise will really help to relgulate your cycles. Birth control would be another helpful thing. I have read before that an increase in some women's mentsral cycles could increase your chances of cancer....but then again, what doesn't increase our chances of cancer, lol

I was 11 when I first started it. 6 years ago. it was pretty normal there for a while...but when I hit 15 or somewhere around there...everything started getting out of wack..

I'm a really emotional person..like I can't really control my emotions very well, so my hormones are always on the edge, would that have something to do with my problem?

...I don't know if you even read my post, but increased hormone levels will affect your cycle.

have you ever been to a gyno?
I can't believe a mom would just sit by for two years without a check to make sure nothing was up.

As for the emotions, don't take this the wrong way, but I see a lot of teens and male or female, they cannot control emotions well (of course, you are supposed to be learning that particular skill now, so it's within normal range). Yes, it's because of adolescent hormone flux.
Is it related to a second period within an average cycle length? could be. A doc could tell better with a full medical history.
Is there an Ask a Nurse program in your area you could call to start exploring this?
No matter our age we are ultimately responsible for our own health.

yes, I did read your post. I just wasn't sure what kind of hormonal increase you were talking about.

Definitely see a gyno. Do you have a Planned Parenthood in your area?

sounds to me like you're bleeding during ovulation... that happens to me *very* occassionally. I'd talk to your gyno about it.
