Dunno what it is about this place, but it's become really mundane. Stagnant. BORING. I've actually started venturing outside of the UK forums! Just seems to be pretty samey. Maybe it's due to all the recent action and people are being mighty cautious, but something's got to be done. I mean all I see at the moment is obviously the occasional news, a couple of random threads, a couple of samey pics being posted every 2 or 3 days by the same people (YOU HAVE GALLERIES PEOPLE!) and someone spamming because the old spammer's been banned for a while. Great, what a really exciting variety of threads. WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE!! I used to be able to sit on here all day and not yawn once...barely blinking at all. Oh, but on one positive note...WELCOME BACK PAUL! arty: And before you start saying stop hanging out online so much...I don't. But, when I do come here, I come to be amused and engaged, not bored. Maybe we need a moaners forum? I mean, there seems to be a lot of unnecessary forums popping up aswell...this one may be quite valid once it gets started!

Aye, welcome back Paul, glad Skip gave it the ok I think it's a seasonal thing. I've noticed this place always tends to lull for a month or so over summer, probably because people are out there enjoying the real world for a bit. I've been less actively lately because I've been very busy trying to complete my novel on schedule. Come the end of summer I'll be back on here plenty. I don't think it's anything to worry about if this place has a brief downturn, it always picks up again sooner or later, and usually sooner....

Well I tend to find it goes in cycles. If I get bored, I just take a break. Sometimes people say they're really enjoying this place, sometimes people say they're bored. I don't really see any sense in reflecting on it....
Thought you may or may not be interested in a newbies perspective. It does seem slow in here, in the nicest possible way. I actually quite like the pics people post but I guess I haven't been here long so it still seems new. What is this "action" of which you speak? England? Just curious. I'm still trying to figure out what is and isn't acceptable here. For example, I'm not a racist but I did find Bernard Manning quite funny.
Yeah it has been a little slow in here lately.... I'm not sure about the 'action' either so I'll presume it was one of the many baffoons that frequent the forums. Anything goes in moderation...'I thought Bernard Manning was an ignorant numpty' might offend one person but may cause the next person laugh out loud until they are jaded for life... so it's down to you, 'Do I really want to hit the submit button knowing it will offend?'

Most things are acceptable here, but England rubbed too many people up the wrong way and I have very little tolerance for BNPricks. Nay, you're just photoist, we have a Member Photos forum for a reason :tongue:
I can see what nay meens. there ahs been a dicline in the amount of threads and the flamboiance of them. But thats because it's not winter any more, people are getting out a lot more, doing things and arent infront of the computer as much as they are in the winter. i am sure things will pick up, don't worry Nay.
I don't really see how I'm a photoist. I mean sure, post pics but when someone posts pics every week just coz they slightly changed their hair parting or whatever, it gets boring. Yes J, I am fully aware that you post pics every 3 days. Most of them are damn interesting and have a purpose, the other fall into the category I've just mentioned above. As for the rest of the forums, well it just got better already, as I said...Paul's back. I want Harry back too!
I really don't remember anyone posting photos other than Jay, so I'm not sure where you're coming from on that one, Nay. It has been a bit um ... lacking in spirit recently; but he seems to be back so i'm sure the place will pick up again. And yeah, where did Lithium and Luke go? Did they drop off the planet while we weren't looking? There were days where I seemed to be the only person posting, believe me, it got lonely. But alas, those days are hopefully well behind us and good riddence to them as well. I also don't understand some of these new forums, not quite sure what to do with them, and I still am a firm believer (despite any feathers that may be ruffled) that the news should be on the main forum ... though now that one's called 'articles' and that confuses me even more and unfortunately doesn't rhyme with anything. :tongue:
