and just recently I have started to listen to techno/trance or whatever its called, and I like some of it too.

 

country, I don't know what is wrong with me lately but I'm starting to like it.

On a serious note: Patti Smith, Sheryl Crow, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins... I don't think I've ever mentioned them more than but a few times, so it could be surprising....

I also believe that The Band is the greatest band of all-time, though they are not my favorite... I don't think I've ever mentioned that either.

 

Every concievable type of classical music, particuarly 19th century Romanticism. Folk, jazz, blues, new age and ambient meditation type stuff that I always borrow from my mum (she's a relaxation therapist)

 

oh yeah, I've been listening to old classical music as well, traditional Chinese music from the 19th century, and 1920's/30s southern blues... makes for great writing inspiration.

 

Oh yeah, I also really like classical Indian music with the sitars and tabla and what not.

I can't resist cranking the radio when a 80s metal hair band comes on. It's like looking at a bad car wreck. Just can't help it.

 

I really like Buddy Holly, which is saying a lot, considering no one I know really knows who he is

 

I'd have to say Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett.

a lot of ppl would be surprised I like Britney Spears. Mostly my cd collection IS bubblegum pop...but it's not all slutty Britney stuff... so that's probably what ppl would be surprised I like.
