Does anyone here have any suggestions for music which moves them? Some of the deepest lyrics I have ever heard come from Bob Marley classics. Overall Led Zeppelin is my favorite band. I am starting to really enjoy music without words such as jazz classics like Coltrane. These Are all just the standard for greatness but after a while the same music over and over leaves me yearning for something equally as powerful. Does anyone have any suggestions for lyrics as moving and truthful as Bob, or music as spiritually motivating as the Beatles, Zep, and Van Morrison? I heard the Greatful Dead are good but only have listened to a few of their popular hits.

For me, my all times favorites are Yes (young deadhead, ;) ), Genesis,
King Crimson, Don Cherry (the most recent incarnation of Christ if you
ask me, especially Blue Lake and Orient, but no one ever bothers taking
that advice so :rolleyes5 ), Madlib, Bobby Digital, Brazillian Girls, Lightning
Bolt, Deerhoof, Hella, Deltron 3030, Gorillaz, and the No Code album
    from Pearl Jam (good stuff!)
But yea, really any music is good if you can cry from the sound of one
heartfelt note played on any instrument of noise. -

In my opinion, music for a trip needs to be a live recording. however, I'm not a large fan of many "studio" albums.

Really?! Well, yea they are pretty rare, some of the rarest recording's I've ever owned thats for sure. I even had vinyl of both live recordings in the past, but as of now I've even seemed to have lost all including my cd copies to time and space
Here man, pretty cheap and definitley worth it! I promise :D

Since you mentioned that lately you are getting in to music without lyrics, I think it is time for you to get into Psychodelic Trance.
Try mild and not so hectic ones first, I can recomend you Sphongle, that is like a must!! To give you a little better picture of it, that is a 60 year old DJ called Raja Ram, who is still blasting live, and I think that if somebody asked me what is your last wish before we kill you, I would say that I want to see Raja Ram live and than I can die happy!
