US highway 6 was always my ecscape to the west. the hardest part was getting through my homestate of indiana and the fact i only had to jump through three counties to get into illinois. the last major town to go through was gary, indiana heavily populated with black people who didnt enjoy the company of a young white male, but once past there were truck stops everywhere and they could easily get u through illinois and deep into the great plains, where freight trains would gracefully push u into the rocky mountains, and the farthest west ive ever been is lake tahoe ont he california side
