40 Years Ago Today - Well not just today, this whole year marks changes in the course of my life. January 1970 I quit the Harbor Police Dept. in New Orleans. Worked at the Bank of New Orleans as a computer operator from April to July then quit that gig to drive a bunch of friends up to The Atlanta Pop Festival July 4, 1970 I see that as my Independence Day, Leaving a constrained and proscribed life for a new exploration. From Georgia I drove the bug out to San Francisco, sort of a pilgrimage to the land of my birth a quarter century earlier. The rest is history bringing me to the point of today and all of 2010, but it started in 1970.
Hmmm, I guess this is a momentus year for me too, 40 years ago this year I found out I was gonna be drafted ... Peace
Shale, I envy your photographic history. I have one photo of me from those days and it's now my sig. If it weren't for my father in law, who was the chief of police when I married his daughter, I wouldn't have that one. Grats on your anniversary.
