My brothers drug problems are getting worse.

I wasn't really sure where to post this but, this is a very active thread and my brothers problems started with pot.


Okay we'll take it from hte begenning. The first night I was aware of anything my brother came stumbling threw my window at 1 am high and drunk. He was screaming, (call the police call 911 I'm going to die!")
From there he became a pot head. There is nothing wrong with that but then he started goling to the caugh and cold medicines and now he ahs a problem. He does hte Dxm at least 5 times a week in high doses like 600mg nad above. He doesn't smoke pot anymore because he gets drug tested by the court. An hous ago my brother left to go huff some glide. I'm worried about him. He is soo stupid and slow. Literally. Just earlier my mom asked him an question and right in hte middle of when my mom was talking he just started talking to me. I was like WTF. You're stupid. How do I get him to stop?

 

how old is he? what kind of friends does he hang out with?

try informing him about the dangers of DXM, @ erowid.org, under health issues, called olneys lesions, and huffing is just dumb and horrible for u, if he doesnt know that, hes a dumbass.

Well, it won't get better as long as he is hanging out with the same people. The reason people usually do drugs (and try new ones) is because they are with other people that want to do that.

Get the foo off those pussy drugs. Get back on weed!! And get some new friends...if people are letting him get fucked up to where he thinks he is gonna die, maybe they aren't real friends....

 

Well, the friends he is hanging out with could be a major factor, but it appears it could be much deeper then that. How is life at home ? it seems your brother just wants to get mangled off anything he can find, with obvious disregard for personal health. Usually parents can tell somethings up, if they care to bother that is, it shouldnt be too hard if his actions are as blatent as you say they are. I suggest he gets help, through talking to someone responsible that he trusts, if such a person does not exiist I recommend councelling or even therapy. He may not want to do this, but it will only be for the better.

 

My mom know and grounds him but no matter what he always finds a way to get high. Its horrible.

 

he needs some help...help that niether you or your parents can give him because its obvious he really doesn't give a shit what he puts into his body and the fact that he still gets "high" while he is grounded.

 

those dumb fucking courts testing him for weed so instead of smoking something hardly bad for him he goes onto stuff that leaves permanent damage. oh the irony of the society we live in.

call the cops. I know it seems bad, but seriously, report him anonymously somehow..... he'll get busted, and he'll get whatever he deserves. they'll make him go to rehab or something.

 

My friend's brother has a meth problem. He's been up straight for the past week... I think he's gona go crazy, I'm worried about him.
