I have 4 cats, but 5 when I count the cat I rescued for my mum

My oldest boy is Pippin, he is 11 later this year. He is an all black british shorthair, he is actually pretty overweight but has been getting lots better.

Shadow (black with a grey beard) & Sugar (black+white) are unknown breed but we were told they are a norweign forest cat cross when we adopted them. They are both 6 years old

Is it bad that I've been in contact with someone to take in another young cat?! I love them so much, I was thinking of opening 'The crazy cat ladies home for crazy cats' for all the unwanted cats before they get abandoned or sent into already packed out rescue homes!!

Also, all my cats have yellow/golden eyes :)

My only concern... can you love all those kitties? I wouldn't take in too many.

I could never not love a cat :) no matter what issues it had (behavioural problems, blindness etc).. I volunteer at our local rescue shelter so I see first hand just how badly treated and unloved some of them have been. It makes me sad. That's why I volunteer there, because the staff are so busy as they take in so many animals, including wild animal's like squirrels and so I volunteer specifically in the cat department as they sometimes get overlooked because 'cats can look after themselves' or 'they don't need as much attention as dogs' etc.

There's a lovely ginger tabby there named Ron, he is about 15 years old, blind in one eye, has arthritis, only half a tail and some other stuff and because of this he gets overlooked and hasn't been rehomed (hes been there for about 2 years :( ).. his old owners were going to have him put down just because he went blind! But I like to sit with him and massage his paws, sing to him, and just love him loads, hes still a healthy and affectionate bundle of fluff and hopefully I can make a difference to his last few years here. I've thought about adopting him but my toddler would be a bit much for him I think. He definitely thanks me for being there with him, even though he cant hardly see me the second he hears my voice hes rubbing up against my legs, rolling over for belly rubs and generally just perks up. I wish I could do more really, or help him find a forever home with an owner who can handle his needs..

Lol I've just rambled on loads!!

I dont fit his adoption criteria. Quiet house, preferably no other animals, no small children. I have a noisy/busy house, lots of animals (As well as my cat clan I have 3 degu's (little cute rodent things) called Leni, Sundance and Squiggles lol and a rabbit called Lily) and I have a toddler!! I don't think they would let me if I tried! :(

I would too. :) It's a shame that older cats, and cats with special needs find it so hard to find people to adopt them. :(

I only have one cat at the moment, and he is a black british shorthair too!

Pleased to say that Ron was adopted by an old man, when he came to see him for the first time he fell in love, came back to visit every single day after until they went home together  this was about 2 weeks ago

Also pleased to say that I've adopted another member of the family! She's 5 months old, black and white cross breed shorthair, I've named her aquila after the star constellation, was going to go for bellatrix but aquila fits better. Also her name matches Pixies name, which is actually Pyxis, another star constellation ;) Aquila comes home in 12 days!

And also Pippin, Sugar and Shadow have gone back to live at my dads house (25 minute drive away) because thats where they have lived forever and they only came to stay with me during renovations as it was distressing them. Pix has stayed with me because this is her home :) so I am now only mum to two kittens and a toddler, but that suits us better, not as crowded now, plus Pix and Shadow didnt get along too well!

OMG, Mamapeace's cats are just adorable, I love "Pippin" the most. I am though always being biased regarding the cats, lol.....I mean always prefer black ones over the white ones.
