I have the best cockateil ever! However lately i think hes been going through this hormonal spurt. How do i get him to quiet down??? i let him squwak for awhile but after awhile i put my finger to my lips and tell him to Shhhh quiet time now Malybu; without the blanket over top. He quiets down but when he gets over excited gets loud too . I thought pets were better than kids but than again HAHAHAHAHAHA. oh my!! i just need a bit of advice on how to tame his squawking down.. Oh boy, lemme tell you he'll always be noisy. And at times your going to want to just set that thing loose. I've been living with all sorts of domesticated birds since I was a kid and i still never got over how annoying they can be at times. Naturally they are going to 'sing' becuase they are cooped up and that's the only thing they can do to express themselves. It's kind of sad if you think about it, they can't fly and exercise their wings so all they have is their voice box. All you can do is give it love and a lot of sunshine in the mornings to me it happy.
