well in the past 3 days all my little dreadies and clumps(about 5-6 months of age) have just fallen out.... it's weird cause my hair has taken soft/silky texture the same texture my hair was when i used to wash my hair with shampoo. i havnt changed any thing in my wash pattern. wash my hair every other day with just water and i've washed my hair with baking soda 2 times in the past month.

what the hell is going on with my hair texture!!!

kinda making me angry and sad

obvious fix would be patience but look what patience has gotten me to...

you might be washing it too much, im by no means an expert ive back combed twice and had to cut them after 6 months for jobs and now im about a month and a half to 2 months into neglect method but ive found that the weeks i see the most progress in my hair are the weeks i only wash once or twice, if i wash any more than 3 or 4 times it seems nothing new knots up or knots start to come out. but it depends on your hair type too i guess if you naturally have hair that gets gnarly greasy then once or twice a week might not be enough washing.

    just experiment with it

    and alas..... patience lol

how long is your hair? maybe rinsing every other day is lubricating them too much. especially if the hair isn't long enough.

yeah in the beginning...especially with neglect dreads I would only wash every three days or so. Do you just rinse your hair in the shower or do you mat it all up when wet and rub it around? Maybe just rinsing with water isnt getting all the natural greasy residue out of your hair and hence it causes the knots to slip out? Try washing with a res free shampoo every 3-4 days and see what happens....oh and rub your hair around in circles in the same direction every time you wash. Plus...6 months is nothing for neglect dreads. Neglect dreads take a year + to start forming...unless you have really curly hair to begin with.

I had the same problem, I backbrushed and kept at notting them up for about a month, but they just weren't making progress, I think my problem was I washed my hair too much and I didn't use wax... some people said I didnt have to but... I dont know. Hope you figure out the problem!
