my first and only piercing, and i'm paranoid!

so i got my nose pierced yesterday and, well, i'm a worrier. i'm wondering, pretty much, what's normal for a day-old piercing.
it kinda hurts like a sonofabitch (but then I am a class-A poof), and it's a teensy bit red around it. I've been putting it in salt water twice a day (which is three total times now, ha.) but i've yet to find unscented soap. I'm going to down to earth tomorrow to get something...

just chill, you can obsess about it but sometimes its all over the top depending on your body you could, like me, completely ignore it and it will heal ok, but I do not advice you to do this, just chill its all normal, keep cleaning it with seasalt water or if your reaaaaly paranoid you could use fisiological serum, well im not sure if thats what its called I loosely translated.... also since you are becoming paranoid, although Im not really sure if this happens with nose piercing also, you will have some crust whitish yellowish around it usually when you wake up, its normal it isnt infected or anything... I would advise to go easy on it but I cant really think you could do with your nose that would affect it.. except no coke for a couple of days

 

You just got a hole punched in yr face. It's gonna be red and hurt.

The only reason you should start worrying is if it gets hard, red, swollen, starts throbbing, and is hard to the touch. Those are signs of infection. Go to yr doctor immediately if this happens. DON'T take the piercing out.

Other than that, just keep on the salt soaks and don't play with it besides that. You don't need to get any super specialty soap. Dial makes a liquid soap that's fragrance free. I've always just used liquid dial, regardless of fragrance or not, and I have yet to have my face fall off.

 

Alright, that's what I thought. It really didn't help my paranoia when my friend told me hers hurt for ten minutes and stopped, but shit, yeah, I guess it does make a bit of sense that it'd still hurt.

got like 2 minor infections on 2 pericings, it was nothing...just ignore it and wash it with salt water and it\ll be all good, but when your drying it once you clean it with salt water make sure to use tissues to dry it as towels can store bacteria.

 

When i got my belly button peirced it hurt for a couple weeks, you're fine though, as for the unscented soup just use dial hand soap, the orange colored kind, its scented but not purposely scented
