Change your job! Their loss, you're obviously not fulfilling your vocation, and in the long run, something will crack. Either you or your employer.

I work in the post office, my manager is cool with the dreads, she spends half of her time defending them to higher management.
I used to have my hair tied in an updo with a wide headband, but someone complained to her and she was forced to ask me not to wear it. I respect my manager, she is a good women, but we cant help what comapny we work for :-(

how are u tying them now?
mine ya know are very heavy too, i usualy take the 1 dread thats closest to the middle of the top of my head, and just wrap it around em all 2-3 times n tuck it underr

i do that thjough from the top just to keep em off the grounhd..
(or my neck n shoulders when hot)
maybe what youd find best would be just tying them back?

i was thinking the same thing
it was a customer who complained about a headband right?
    how lame
what next? some weirdo complkains cause they dont like the color of your socks so u hafta change that too..what if they just dont like green eyes should we get contacts?
if were doing a job..that benifits the customer, what right do they have dictating how we look?
what gives them the right to even complain?\
how many smelly ugly nasty people do u as a postal worker deal with daily without complaining?

    lame lame lame

Would a scarf or something be acceptable? They'd be more under-cover that way, and you don't have to put so much stress on your scalp since the pressure is mostly on the fabric.
