Hi, I thought I would put a little piece on here about me. I’ve been registered on here since May 2004, I don’t post that much on a whole but I do tend to log on most days, I really should contribute more.

My name Sunday name is Victoria but it got shortened down to torz by family when I was a baby & it’s just stuck ever since, I’m 22y/o, 23 at the beginning of March.

I’m from Sheffield where I have lived most of my life. I love my home town but I moved out of it 2 years ago to Doncaster where I live with my fiancé, cat & turtle. I really love Doncaster but I do miss home.

I work as an administrator during the day & during the evening I work 3 hours cleaning a health centre. I don’t see the point in sitting at home board watching soaps when I could be out earning money.

I enjoy a drink & getting off my face every now & again, I don’t do drugs as often as I used to, just every now & again. I’m not really an out-round-town-every-weekend girl but I do like to go out on the odd occasion. I enjoy the local pub & private clubs more because I can hear myself talk in there & I can actually hold a conversation.

I have a few tats & piercings & enjoy body modification. I also love cars & car modification but I do have a car but tend to walk where ever I can to save on polluting the atmosphere.

I am a very emotional & spiritual person, I will cry at anything. I have never really had any aspirations or goals in life (apart from to be a mum), I feel as though I’m just going through life not actually achieving anything, waiting for something to hit me in the face. I do believe I have (& we all have) a purpose in this life but I have yet to figure out what that purpose is for me.

You can ask me anything you like, I’m quite an open person & like to chat about anything.

that picture of me was taken on a pedalo just off amadoras beach in grand canaria last year. it was the first holiday abroad me & dave had together in 6 years, we normally go to glastonbury festival for our holiday but with it not been on last year we decided to go abroad. we went the first two weeks in september & they had a huge heat wave just as we got there.

yeah the sea was much cleaner than the sea around the UK, clear blue & you could see all the fish & everything, although the sea around peuto rico beach was awful, people just dont have respect for the beach & the sea as they were just chucking tab ends all over the place. we didnt like swiming in that sea as we were just swimming through a sea of rubbish & fags. i smoke but i have respect for the areas i live, work & play by putting my tab ends in an empty packet.

If you had the ability to throw objects across continents or into low earth orbit, what would you use that skill for?

i'd chuck speed cameras, middle lane drivers, old computers, old cars that polute the atmosphere just far too much, animal abusers, leaver arch files & germs if i could get hold of them.

thats an easy one for me to answer, glastonbury 2004. i'd alway wanted to go to glastonbury even as a little kid but no one would take me. i met my fiance in 2001 & he had been the previous year & told me all about it which got me really excited. we couldnt get tickets for 2002 or 2003 but i managed by the bloody skin of my teeth to get tickets for 2004. i stayed up a full 72 hours (how i didnt go delirious i havent got a clue) & even did a 8 hour stint at work inbetween, all the while the mobile phone strapped to my ear on redial & i had various work colegues on the case too.

when the day finaly came to go i was kinda nervous & excited at the same time, it was a bit wiered because there was ment to be myself, my fiance dave, my mate smig & his fiance jo, but just after the tickets had been bought jo found out she was pregnant & smig wouldnt let her go so another mate of ours went, gaz, so i was the only female with 3 guys.

when we had got through the enterance & i stood at the top of that field looking down on the whole site i very nearly feinted, i'd seen pictures & seen it on the TV but nothing prepairs you for seeing actually how big the place is for yourself.

that wednesday was quite rainy & very windy & putting the tent up on the hill looking over the pryamid stage was absolutley hillarious, though the lads didnt think so. as we were putting the tent up getting blown here there & everywhere & me getting orded about to "stand here, hold this & what ever you do DONT LET GO" there was a break in the gray clouds & a ray of sun came shining through. the masses of people went absolutley wild & this masive grin came across my face cus i just knew that this was going to be the best time of my life.

after the tent was errected although extreamly lopsided from the wind battering it the lads decided to take me (and gaz who'd never been before) for a walk around. i just remember been in an absolutle world of my own, it was far too much to take in & be like normal & then i had the numours drugs on top, E's coke, space cake & 1 joint after the other. i seem to remember spending quite a bit of time on my own those first few days trying to figure it all out & figure myself out. i spent a lot of friday with the lads chilling in the pryamid field drinking vodka, smoking weed & popping pills & going off for little stints on my own just wandering around the market stalls. we watched oasis from our tents & built a camp fire, because we were right on the corner of the cross roads (right hear http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/SpookyAngel/glastonbury/arealtent2.bmp ) we got lodes of people stopping to get a walm around the fire & ended up stopping to chat. the lads decided to go to bed after oasis but i was still buzzing from the pills & decided to go for a walk to the green fields armed with a tin of green & plenty of rizla. i sat on my own for a bit just looking down over the festival looking in awe at how wonderful the place is, how big it is & how beautiful it looked it looked at night. i climed the big "love" sign at the top of the field, sat chatting to lodes of different people all night untill the sun came up & this almighty chear arose & people did sun dances. i started walking back to my tent when i heard this bigger almighty chear, i turned around & looked up to see this huge double rainbow in the sky. just as i was getting in to my sleeping bag i heard the first drops of rain on the tent.

we all got awoken at 10.30am by the first act on the pryamid stage, still raining. we had some breakfast, rolled a few joints & decided to head out & about just wandering to see what wonderful things we saw. i remember we sat down by the radio 1 stage for ages totally off our faces head totally in the tunes. i seem to remember falling over in the mud & having to buy a new rain mack thing because i was totally covered in mud. we stayed there untill about 7pm when we headed back over to the pryamid stage ready for paul mccartney to grace the stage.

paul mccartney has got to be the single most amazing experience of my life apart from glastonbury itself. getting to see a beatle at glastonbury playing the beatles songs that i love & hearing helter skelter being sung live for the first time ever. we were all absolutley off our tits & it was like time just stood still. he preformed hay jude as his final which turned in to 1 big mighty sing along, the atmosphere was absolutley eletric & thats the best i can really describe it, you had to be there to experience it. my mum was soo jellous!

we spent the rest of saturday night in the green fields chatting about paul mccartneys preformance & telling all the people who went to see basement jaxx how stupid they were for missing a preformance of a life time.

sunday we decided to take it easy & just lounge in the green fields & lost vagueness recovering from the night before, i was really sunny & we just took in the glasto vibe. i remember decideing to pack some of my clothes up sunday night & take them back to the car so we didnt have as much to carry monday morning. i had brought the most stupidist bag, a holdall which was really hard to carry & really heavy. i remember going to the car while suppergrass were on the pryamid stage & i was thinking to myself how i just didnt want to go home. this was the best ever place in the whole wide world & i just didnt want it to end. i remember finding the lads in the jazz field smoking weed. i stayed there with them but have no recolection of what happened after this untill monday morning.

we managed although i dont know how to get everything packed up. we headed back to the car & bought a Q mag on the way out, i hated leaving, the festival over, the mess that was left behind it was awful. we didnt get out of the carpark for a good 3 hours, we just sat there talking about our experience & listing to the reviews on radio 1.

so that was the best expeience of my life ever to date, i cant believe i remembered all of that & wrote it from memory.

Wow, I'd almost forgotten about the massive collective cheers you sometimes hear at Glastonbury ... I don't think I've experienced such a thing anywhere else in my whole life... it has to be heard to be believed:) Thanks for reminding me of that:)

Have you been other years? Are you planning to go this year?
