My mom is gettin gway too paranoid!

How do you know when you are too paranoid?
Liek my mom (born mid 1950's) has been busted in the past and is very very paranoid

She is convinced that the bike shop across the road is a front for the cops...I mean we live in a small area but there are still lots of drugs going around and about but becuase they arent open saturday, have very few bikes that dont sell even though they are pretty nice, and the other day there were two sherrifs cars parked outside talking to a bunch of guys in front of some bikes...no lights on or anything just talking....

she told me they are probobly in there with equipment listening to phone conversations in the area and using the heat sensors...which I mean...like I said...theres alot of shit going on for the sizae of this place and if they sat in that place and listened they would bust like 10 people but I just dont buy it

IS it me or does it sound like my mom has finally smoked herself into a paranoid stupor?

maybe.. its a front for DRUGS, and the cops were there trying to bust them. thats the more obvious case for a shop with few items on sale...


your mum has indeed smoked herself into paranoia (seems to become a problem for some older people)

but uhhh the easiest thing to do would simply go across the road and inspect. police arent allowed to lie about being police, and probably would have less reason to if you went there saying you were worried about all teh druggies around here and wanted to know if you were being protected by police

if an undercover cop says hes not a cop and then busts you, you can claim that they manipulated you and thats illegal

 

basically if you ask them if they are a cop they have to tell you if they are. otherwise if they are trying to bust you on something and specifically say they are not a cop it is considered entrapment.

 

however, they can say theyre not a cop, and simply act as an informant or something, like they say theyre cool if someone tries to get them to commit a crime, and then get other cops to wait for the shit to go down

 

huh...bill:I told her the same thing...that it would more likely be a front for drugs cause like I said that shit is getting bigger and bigger here everyday...like a guy got busted for some serious coke like 2 weekes ago and he lived like 1000ft. from the elementary school, and noone would have suspected it...or like my folks...my dad has anywhere between a half o to a pound at any given moment...and dont get me started on the crack lol

so I woldnt be surprised if the cops did set up a front somewhere....
but now that I think about it wouldnt it be illegal as hell to just sit in a building with equipment and listen to everyone in our little neighborhoods phones? (key word there being everyones)

i belive that's only aussie (i think canada and UK are like this too) law.. in america, im pretty sure that the cop can lie bout being a cop.. and yes, entrapment is against that law, but since when do the cops have to follow the law? jesus, dont u guys understand, they break the law to stop the real

In the United Servents of Amerika, A COP CAN AND WILL LIE ABOUT BEING A COP, this is an old myth thats been circulating for a long time, while it may be true in the UK or Australia, it is most definitely not true in the US. Thier is no argument here, I know from personal experience. Watch COPS sometime, they've showed this scenario literally hundreds of times, with everything from drugs to prostitution, people always ask "are you a cop" and the undercover always says "no way" or something to that affect. I've even seen people on Cops call them on this very same myth. When I got busted (1999) I asked this question when I met someone, about 9 months later (4 days after my 18 birthday!!) I got popped. Needless to say I spent the rest of my teen years and early 20's in prison. THIS IS A VERY VERY DANGEROUS MYTH THAT HAS BEEN PERPETUATED FOR A LONG TIME!!!!!!!!! Spread the word. Love and Light ~Rob
