Nape tattoos are my favorite.

To me, there's some kind of mysterious air to them.. sexy, really.

I love how easy they are to hide, too. Really personal.

yea, i pretty much agree. but if someone wants a ethnic tattoo, let em get it, by jove. i personally will never have a ethnic tattoo, ever.

Don't listen to them. I think ur tattoo's sweet. I'm sure it has a special meaning to you and that's really all that matters. If everyone in the world liked your tattoo, then it wouldn't be as significant because part of the whole thing is to make a statement... sometimes statements offend some people. Can't please 'em all.

 

I disagree with the statement about saying that word/symbol tattoos mean that the owner lacks imagination. This is a completely ignorant statement! Sure, the tattoo itself isn't exciting and colourful but simplicity can be just as beautiful. You can never crawl into a person's brain and see what it means to them.. you don't know what this symbol means to her. Sometimes people just want an obvious symbol of whatever it is they want to remember.. what's wrong with that? When I'm 18 I'm starting to think that I want a simple tattoo that says "FREEDOM." Sure, I'll probably think about how I want to format the words or if I want the words in a different language but I want people to understand the word that has so much significance to me. Does that mean I lack imagination? No. It means I have something to say that means so much to me that I don't care to hide it behind symbols and imagery. I want it to be clear.

no tattoos lack imagination. it all depends on what it means to the wearer..if this tattoo is special to her it should be special to those who view it as well!!!
