Whats up budsmokers. Let me begin by saying i have no problem with weed. i love weed but i do have a health type problem. Heres the story so ive been smoking weed since about my sophmore year. im a senior now. Back in my sophmoric days of smoking everything was legit and i had no problems. But recently this year shit got flipped and now when i smoke i can feel my heart rate speed up. Yea i know weed speeds up heart rate but i never used to feel it in my old days and now all of a sudden i feel it. Paranoia takes over now when i feel it speed up and i feel like my heart is gonna explode out of my chest. It scares the shit out of me and kills my high. My question to everyone who reads this is have you been totally fine smoking and then through time you smoked again and had your heart rate speed up and be totally aware of it? Has it gone away or do you still have it happen? Is this a developed heart condition i need to check out? should i stop smoking weed period? or just for a while? Any answers would be tight as fuck. I probably wont be checking this site very often cause ill forget so if you could email me with advice or answers to caughtinahustle24@hotmail.com itd be appreciated. I dont want to stop smoking because i loved what it did to me but recently i hate smoking because of what it does now. help a nigga out!!

I had a few times where I felt it, and sort of freaked out thinking something bad was going to happen. Then I didn't have weed for a few weeks, told myself I was trippin, and it's been fine ever since.

It's all in your head. I think. Just tell yourself you're fine, drink some water, breathe, and it should go away. (I hope)

I developed this exact same problem -- I became allergic to weed. I quit smoking many years ago because of it. I know several others who also developed the exact same problem and exact same symptoms. They too, have become allergic to weed, and like me, have long since quit because of this. The hart racing symptom is called "tachycardia". Sorry to say, but I'll bet you're in the same boat as me and my friends. Too bad. And this NOT all in your head. You've become allergic/hyper sensitive to weed. Just like me and the others I know. Unfortunately, your immune system and life have changed, like it or not. Wish I had something better to tell you. I wonder, do you have other allergies, like maybe hay fever? People with other allergies [of any type] stand a good chance of also developing other allergies. I had awful hay fever, which after about 10 years of constant weed smoking, also became an unpleasant allergy to weed as well. And even if you don't have any other allergies, any one can always develop ones they never had before. Those of us who are already allergic just stand a better chance of it happening. Time to deal with it.
