my room smells like the ocean

it's beautiful.

i picked up all these sweet smooth stones and pieces of driftwood while walking along the coast today, and now my room smells of sand and saltwater, with the faint hint of seaweed.

i fucking love the ocean!!!

I love the ocean. I've always been a water-person.
the closest thing I've got here is ... some shampoo with seaweed in it. haha.
my family is going to california for thanksgiving week though, and this post just made me even more excited.

the water was so cold today. up here it's freezing cold, even in the summer. plus there's such dangerous currents it's really not safe to get in.

i wanna live in like, baja, where it's warm and you can get in the water.

whenever we go places I just kinda go with it. my mom is a master traveler. she is sort of not a very high-energy person at home ... but get her elsewhere and she is the picture of activity.
we're staying a week so we'll probably be in various places. I'll find out. :]

 

near the sonoma coast. about an hour and a half north of san francisco. little itty bitty gay resort town. it's pretty cool.

Is the water even warm in baja? The pacific gets pretty cold

 

it is good. a little colder than i like, but really nice. beautiful redwoods, that kind of thing.... i went hiking/walking in the redwoods this morning. i had a really nature day today!

lol... haven't been up at 11 am in so long... i had to take a nap when we got home. haha!

 

warm-ish, from what i've heard. haven't been there, so i don't really know. but people go swiming/surfing in the water in southern california, so it can't be as cold as it is up here. i don't know if it ever gets above 50 degrees in the water up here, even in the summer. brrrrr!!!

 

ahh, how i love having sand in every crevice and sticky hair.... no really, i do love it.....

 

my dreads have been wanting to swim in the ocean.

and i LOVE having sand all over the place and salt water stickies. i'm SUCH an ocean creature, lol!

when i reincarnate, i wanna be a dolphin. they have group sex too, so it's perfect!

 

I paddled out at solana beach in san diego in march, it was pretty damn cold but not enough for a suit

Florida has warm, bathtub temp water in the summer, but it gets completely flat. So all you can do is chill at the beach drinking, using the ocean as a giant pisser.
