My sound like a stupid question

well ive been on these forums awhile now, i just havent been posting. I must say all of these posts are the same over and over and it gets annoying. But anyway i have a question that i havent seen and my friend just told me about. We had just got stoned and were about to go to the local wawa, then he said something that its not illegal to be high while driving. Then i said well isnt it illegal to be high off of pot. He said they cant do anything unless you have pot or paraphelia on you. Anybody know about this?

 

yeah i think its legal to be high, just illegal to be in posetion of weed

me an my mate were also discussin this an i came up with the idea of bottleing smoke! all u do is burn good quality weed and funnel the smoke into a plastic bottle held above, screw on the top and simply sell. just think about it! how great woudl that be? no lighters, no mess, just straight up smoke that u simply buy and inhale!

but then again the police would probabl track down were u or the company sellin the smoke does all this burnin.....suppose u could do it in amersterdam an ship in?

 

right now theres not much they can do about it. If you smell like pot, but don't have any pot or paraphenalia on you, it's very sketchy and any good lawyer can fight it.

It IS illegal to drive under the influence. THeres no way to tell if you are stoned, really. They can't determine how much is enough to get you high and how long it lasts. They are coming out with new saliva tests that show THC % in your mouth. If you ever get admistered one of those, I don't know what to tell you. YOu're caught. BUt otherwise, as long as you admit to nothing, they can't give you a fine or arrest you. They make you go home, or even tow your car if they are particularly prickish, but like I said, any decent lawyer can fight it in court.

 

Hey scott that sounds like a great idea. I'm going to try keeping it in a bottle for about a day and see if the hit is still the same.

 

lol i thought about bottleing smoke one time to and trust me it is the worst idea. I dont know if uve ever inhaled weed smoke thats been sitting for 1minute+ but it is the absoulutley nastiest smoke on the earth. It tastes nothing like pot because smoke gets really stale from letting it sit. Im telling you if you try this its just gunna be a waste of your time but if you want you can still go ahead and try cause it is kind of fun.

 

if its obvious he's high, they can arrest him for DUI...its happened to me before because i was stoned as shit and my whole car reaked. it ended up costing me around 2 grand...bastard cops

 

Yeah I kind of figured if it were obvious you were stoned you would get arrested for DUI. and HeadyMoeChick do you know if those strips would detect the thc in your system even if your not stoned?

 

yeah i was arrested on DUI for being high also....and the new tests they are making to chech the THC level, can only detect, if you have pot in your mouth, in the past couple hours....there was a documentary on 20/20 the other night, about this new device, and it is not yet perfected, bc eating and drinking things, dramatically decreases the THC that will show up. they were also saying, that some states ( thats were not named) are going to start introducing this device, as soon as april or may.

yeah if your under 18, its not illegal to smoke cigerettes, only to buy and have them. so if you dont have a pack or a lighter on u but a cop walks up the msot he can do is take the lit cig and put it out.

nah i know what you meant.....but when before i was 18, a friend of mine got a MIP ( minor in possesion) which i thought you could only get for alcohol, but he got one for smoking a cigarette, in our town square.......granted that i live in a somewhat small ( rich-snobby) town, and the cops arnt exactly the most leniant.

 

yea kids in alberta can get a fine for smoking cigs in public...

 

well all the cops ive ever been stopped by just told me to extuinguish the cig, then asked if i had a pack and lighter and if i did the cop took it. thats it. except one time me and a friend were out front of the movies and we saw a guy and a lady havin cigs sow e figured they wouldnt give us shit. we lit up and the dude walked over and it turned out he was like the head of the fucking police or whatever and he wrote our names ina little notepad.

Of course it's illegal to drive while high. And it's a good law, I don't want anybody who's stoned or drunk on the road.

yer it aint illegal to be high, but its illegal to be high and drive (among other things that its illegal to do while under the influence)

and bottleing smoke wont work if youve kept it for too long, thc does not stay in gas, it would condense and leave you inhaling pointless, toxic gasses (though it wouldnt be any worse for your health than weed smoke, it would be healthier, just taste like shit and not get you that high (if at all)

 

I think if pot is illegal then its illegal to be high but no one really cares just as long as your in possession. As far as ciggaretts, I think hte law in Massachusetts is just that you can't buy them but you can smoke them with parents concent.
