For all my life, people have told me I should act more like a Catholic. Like I was raised. And on cannabis I am. The RC church strongly opposed the marihuana tax act of 1937, basically the first federal statute outlawing cannabis possession for any reason (long story how it was just a "tax act" ). For the same reason they opposed prohibition. Catholics can get as high as they want on alcohol. Why not cannabis? Why not cocaine either, they pointed out? So if you get caught by the police with cannabis or cocaine or anything else. Just tell them you're a Catholic, and share the story I just did with them . [I'm just joking of course, although these are my polical views. But I in no way advocate breaking the law.]
