Nato struck hard at the Libyan navy last night, sinking eight warships. Nato responded to the increasing use of the Libyan navy to mine harbors, attack Nato vessels and aircraft as well as the rebels fighting to overthrow Col. Gaddafi. This pretty much decimates the Libyan naval force, which at its peak had 21 ships, with far fewer operational. At least two naval vessels had been previously captured by the rebels.

Great. When we finally catch Gaddafi and assassinate him in about 5 years, then install another dictator several years later we can sell them some new war ships to replace the ones they lost, and create jobs into the bargain! All in the interest of keeping the global economy afloat.

Sounds like us! We do,I think, have plenty in mothballs that would be enough for them.
