natural hair dread extensions

so wat is everyones opinion on dread extensions??
ive seen some that look amazing!!! but hey were made with natural hair.. but the synthetic hair i think looks completely rediculous!

I have dread extentions. I didn't want to go through the growing long phase.lol

 

I had them at the start-for about a month and hated them! they were synthetic, we just got a pack of fake hair from a black hair shop. dreaded it and sewed one onto each dread. this is my friend vixi who did my dreads:

all but about 2 dreads that you can see are synthetic and sewn on. They do look good but they aren't real dreads and don't have that gorgeous organic look that real dreads do.

 

I think extensions are stupid

Chaos has a couple friends who have them and they look dumb

realli? are yours sewn on or felted from the end of your natural hair (is that even possible?) how long would your dreads be without the extensions?

no...because people want to try different things! same as dreads...many people would ask that about dreads. everyones different!

 

I beg to differ. Most people just don't want to wait for their hair to grow out as domekatrix demonstrated

 

maybe most but not all. and they can look dumb on some but my freinds hair is gorgeous. she doesn't use them to add length as her hair is long anyway,,,she uses them to make her hair bigger. her dreads are kind of flat on their own. extensions aren't my thing but each to their own---if you want them and can live with them then cool^_^nobody notices the difference on her anywayy. they realli blend in. I'm not sure why WorldPeace uses extensions, maybe the same reason as her hair is also realli long.

 

Mine are latched with my hair... and My hair with out the extentions would be about at my cheeks. I hate the extentions once my real hair gets longer I'm taking em out. They are a bitch cuz sometimes they get loose. I had a couple come out before too.

when I took mine out I feel a lot happier and more free...if you feel that way, maybe you should take yours out. you have such a pretty face you'd look good either way

usaully you get extentions from sally's or where ever. cut the extentions the width u want and dread em. then sew em in.

 

well I just bought some hair in an afro shop, it comes in a braid and only costs a couple of dollars. then you cut em whatever length you want. I twisted&ripped mine and then just sewed them onto the dread near to the root. are you thinking of doing them wm?

i kno i kno im gonna here someones comment on jus be patient blah blah blah... but its my hair n ill do wat i want.. n like luxie said its sumthin different..id love me some long dreads..
