need some information

    i work on a computer which is connected through LAN (Local Area Network) to other computers, i want to know whther ne1 who is also connected to the same LAN can read my messages on msn. specially some 1 who has some sound knowledge about computers.

    Yes. The system Admin, can do just about anything.

    honestly, if you're on a lan, if somebody else wanted to, it wouldn't be terribly hard.

    esp for the sys admin.

    but, that seems unlikely. remember, your life's details, just aren't all that important to anybody else. sounds cold, but hey, that's how it is.

    If you are posting on a web site and using SSL encryption it is end to end, as long as ther eis no spyware on your machine they cant tell what content you used, only what addresses you went to...msn is not ssl encrypted though...

    Uh, if you're connected to the routing device by a wire, only the router and devices after it can see your traffic. If you're on a layer one device like a hub, the signal is repeated to all nodes, but most nodes will drop traffic not directed to them, unless told to collect all traffic (so someone has to know what they are doing, more or less). If you're on a wireless connection, anyone can see all of your traffic with a wireless device, even people just walking by your WAP. WEP protection helps, but people with your WEP key can still catch all your data...
