Need someone to put this into perspective

Wow. I'm in shock right now. I was sitting in my room playing playstation and my mom comes up to talk to me. She goes "Hey did you hear that?" and then she shows me her pant leg which has a large wet spot on the thigh. She then tells me that my cat Joe just pissed on her and that he is being sent to the humaine society tomorrow. I love my cat and all but to be honest, I can't say that I felt sad when she said that. I started laughing hysterically and still am. I just can't believe that my mom was just urinated on by a cat. He walked up and sat on her lap and just pissed as soon as he sat down. I find it insanely hilarious and find it hard to believe that this just happened.

 

You should have done the same.

Yes it's a male. He also peed on my couch in my room a couple days ago though so we kind of have to get rid of him before he ruins everything. Cat pee is a very strong scent and pretty nasty. I'm sad that we have to get rid of him but he definitely went out in style!

 

How old is he?

 

my cat started spraying awhile ago.. we just made him an outdoor cat...

no need to get rid of family members..

That's awfully young. He might have a bladder problem, or a small part of a bigger issue.

You know, I actually feel bad for your mom. Cat urine is a pretty nasty smell...

i'd take him to vet before to the shelter, or at least try and find him a home, cats are put down when they go to a shelter after about a week..if no one wants him he'll be put down because there are just so many stray cats...

 

Well I talked to my mom and we decided to take him to the vet instead of straight to the shelter. They gave him a bunch of medicine and a new type of food and now we're keeping him (until he does it again) so yay

 

I am glad for your cat. I hope everything works out ok .
