Anyone from Ohio heading out to the ledges for some good fun here soon? I think the festivals for 2008 kick off on 4/20! Can't wait. Anybody on here frequent the place? Would be pretty groovy to meet someone there from these forums!
im goin for spring hookah i cant wait its heaven on earth i went for gori the past two years threw snow sleet n everything i cant get enough of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nelson Ledges is doubtlessly the best place to see a show east of the Mississippi. I am going to BlossomBlast at the end of April and GratefulFest on Labor Day weekend. Hope to see you there!
Will possibly be there for 420fest with a small group of friends and maybe meeting up with shroomery members
I love the Ledges. I'll probably hit up a few festivals this season dressed like the clown for Kidz Jam. Say hey if you see me. Cheers and Metta
I love the Ledges! Seriously, there's no better place to go for some sweet music and groovy vibes---and the people there are amazing!
Hey DonnieDarkoFan I spotted you last weekend! I was camped out with a group of people right on Stagger Lane next to the main road that heads to the beach. High traffic area. Some people at my camp were selling jello shots Friday if that means anything?? I think I was a little out of it and feeling socially awkward, so I never said hi (obviously). Awesome times were had even thought I was sick all weekend. Oh, and your dreads looked good
Sorry to have missed you WoodsCall! Yeah, I do seem to remember the group selling Jello shots--I went down that main path a few times, but was camped on the main trail on the left as you enter the park, so I was kinda on the opposite side of the park entirely. Sorry to hear you were sick--did you at least have a good time? (Yeah right, how can you not have a good time at the Ledges, am I right?) Thanks for the comment on my dreads--they did get quite soggy while I was out watching Waterband (that rain during the last 45 min. or so of their set would not quit), but I had a blast anyways--just dried my hair by the bonfire after the set! And Dizzy Doc with his balloons! Seriously a kickass weekend all-around---now I can't wait for Mayflower Fest! Hope to see ya there!
Just got back from the Pink Floyd/Zeppelin cover band festival.... it was a blast. I don't think I've ever had so much fun in my life, like a scout camp gone mad. Absolutely beautiful, great scene, lovely people- I don't know if I'll go to any non-Nelson festivals from now on despite the almost three-hour car ride!
Anyone gonna be going to the 4th of July fest out at the Quarry? George Clinton and P-Funk, moe, The Mickey Hart Band with Steve Kimock, Wookiefoot, Airto Moreira and Flora Purim, Giovanni Hidalgo, Cornmeal, Katz & Jammers, The Spikedrivers, Waterband, and so many more! I'm getting so stoked for this show! I highly recommend it to any forum readers.
yeah p-funk was amazing. so was everyone else, but that was the highlight. anyone going to gratefulfest?
i went to grateful fest, it was amazing 3 nights of DSO. we got there around 6 or so friday night and only found a spot in the meadows so not much shade during the day and the sun would wake us up every morning at 9:30 by making our tent 100 degrees and bright. other than that i had the time of my life, met a whole bunch of cool people and had some fun trips. i cant wait for gorry at the quarry.
yea grateful was probably my favorite out there this year. keller williams about a week after that was pretty tight too. I went to badfish this past weekend. it was alright, but there were a lot of assholes there. I'll be at gory, in the best costume ever. you'll probably see me around, I help out one of the vendors on bigger festivals, and I'm constantly walking around.
Are you kidding? Worst venue ever? That's gotta be sarcasm, 'cause if you're serious then I'd say you totally don't know what you're talking about! I've been going to the Ledges for more than 5 years now, and I've had an absolute blast every time! Maybe you're just bringing your apparently negative mindset & vibes with you when you go! Leave the bad attitude at the gate, and I'm sure you'll have a grate time!
