Well I just got out and bouahgt me a tie dye kit, whooooo!! Im so excited, got 3 colors of die and rubber bands, the mixer stuff and shirt.. Well I was wondering, Well I got an arrange of neon paints and was wondering if I could use it for tye dye. It would look crazy cool instead of the 3 colors I got. And does anyone know where I can get instructions on how to tie dye and different patterns..? I like spiral the best I just want to be sure Im gonna do it right. Feedback you tie dye masters, and thank yous.
I've seen paints applied in the dyer patterns. The differences are: paint does not flow through the fabric as dye does therefore you don't get color break and all those interesting "new" colors it feels different since paint coats like a screen print would. You could dye then add the paint as accents. Also, see the dye thread in Fiber Arts
