Never taken LSD but the dream is about to come true!

For the most party I've only done pot but LSD is something I REALLY wanted to do for years and I can FINALLY get it. I have read the basics (I hear that the right environment and mood is key and all that cliche) but I still want all the advice I can get. The environment I'm planning on will be
in my room alone around 4-5 (at sunset) sitting on a couch no music my mom is going to be in the room under mine; see any possible problems? I want to do everything I can not to freak out and have bum trip. Again, this is my first trip, I'm looking for advice and how other people's first trips turned out. Do's and Don'ts??? To me this is a big deal, may have over hyped it? :hat:

 

do it with some friends far away from your parents in a house with no parents at all.

 

If your mom knows about you tripping I could see doing it but if you don't want her to know I wouldn't recommend it. That's not to say you'll have a bummer for sure but that's just one variable it'd be nice to totally eliminate. You can have great trips in your room, but I'd wait till the 'rents go out of town. You may feel the need to wander the house or yard, etc.

 

Im going to get 3 blotters tomorrow and im going to take all 3 all friday night by myself and just trip into the morning. This is the first time i've been able to get it in about 3 years, so im super excited!

Thats true, but u can solve that problem somewhat by taking higher doses

 

i've had my most insightful and meaningful trips alone.

when i'm with people i can never get into myself, i'm too into the group atmosphere. not to say it's not fun, but i definitely prefer being alone if i want to "get something" out of tripping.

but yeah like everyone else said, it'd definitely be best to eliminate as many variables as possible. but that doesn't mean it WILL be bad; my first LSA trip was alone in my room with my dad next door and it was amazing.

 

go for a bike ride..

 

yeah more exhilarating than an ordinary bike ride.

 

I'd recommend trying it with a close friend first. I usually take my trips during the day, out in nature, with supervision (I'm fairly prone to paranoia). Being out in nature is always really important to me. I wait for the perfect day, when the weather's nice and there's big rolling clouds in the sky. And I always give myself the next day off to "recover". With any luck, you'll have a truly profound and crazy experience. This stuff is definitely worth the hype!

don't trip around parent's unless you completely sure about your safety.... trust me everybody I've been there

but otherwise i agree it would be better with a friend in an outdoor environment or maybe a place where you don't have to worry about parents.

 

Considering the original post is 2 1/2 years old, I'm going to assume they figured it out somehow.

^^^haha, i didn't notice the date either...was about to say that OP should dose for his FIRST time in a more parent free environment. that set and setting cliche rings pretty true with psychedelics. but once you had tripped a few times, most people can handle smaller doses in not-so-prime settings

 

What I was thinking is how determined someone must be to go back that far in the archives to find some of the posts that get resurrected.

 

That would be Colasisof l'd. He keeps reposting on shit. I can understand some threads but why would you do an advice thread this old.......
