I have heard quite a bit about a drug called Salvia. I have heard it is legal in Canada right now and you can get it off the internet. People have told me that it can change your life drastically and give you visions on death ect. It is suspossed to be a spiritual drug. I have a friend who did it and he said it was amazing. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on it, or if you've done it and what you know about it?

It's a hallucinigen that can be very strong depending on how much you smoke and the quality of it. It essentially makes you trip pretty hard for about 5 to 10 minutes. It's legal in the states as well. I tried it a couple of times just becuase I was blown away that it is still legal in the US, but it really isn't anything I particularly want to go and do again.

skankleft: Join us on the salvia boards (go to the Psychoactives board, then to the salvia divinorum board). =) You will learn a lot about this plant. (I refuse to call it a drug; it is not meant to be such)

I personally found the last time I tripped on it to be much better than weed. In the sense that weed replaces your emotions with a feel-good-happy emotion, salvia seemed to ... how do I describe this ... fill my emotions to the brim. I.e. it's not a "feel happy" drug unless you happen to be feeling happy when you take it. If you feel like crap, then the drug's going to make you want to kill yourself (FIGURATIVELY ... that's exxaggerated!). The point is, your emotions aren't really "replaced," they're "filled and multiplied."

Picking a nice environment to smoke in is also crucial; smoke outside in the woods by a river, or around a campfire at night; not in a spooky basement or an attic with limited space, etc. =P

Check out more on the salvia boards.

Salvia Divinorum has been around for thousands of years. There are many types of Salvia, but only Salvia Divinorum contains Salvinorin A, which is the active ingredient in the plant, which is native only to the Oxacca region of Mexico.

I have a lot of experience with Salvia Divinorum. It's a very different experience, and is quite a bit different from Psilocybin and LSD, both in duration and effect.
