Hey there everyone. Just wanted to say hey - my name is Patrick and I am doing a production of Hair and stumbled across this site in doing research for the show. The more work I have done on this show, the more I have enjoyed learning about the era, and especially the people. The general ideals of Peace, Freedom, Tolerance, and "Hands Off" is a very appealing notion to me, and it isn't something that you see as often as you could. I don't know a lot of the popular music from the 1960's, so I figured in my intro I would see if anyone had a favorite artist or group that you would reccomend I take a listen too? Or even a specific album??? Hope to talk to some of the fellow board members in the future!
Janis Joplin Bob Dylan Creadence Clearwater Revilval The Rolling Stones The Beatles Jimi Hendrics Jefferson Airplane Ravi Shankar Moody Blues Simon and Garfunkle Any of these artist are a good start.
Hey There! Thanks for the welcome and the thoughts. I know a couple songs of Simon and Garfunkle (and like them) so I think I will give a start there!
