Pretty much random as people use the forum for a while and tend to drift off. That said, there are some folks who have been around for a long time by internet standards. welcme and enjoy the place.

    Thanks for your reply

    And .....

In what time zone is this Forum active for and at what time of the day?

    I'm on GMT -2 (Berlin)

    And, and ...

Am I allowed to call someone an idiot for shoving a carrot up his butt? ;)

    Hahahaha Hiya Phat Phag:)

I don't think there's a specific 'active period 'cos people from all time zones use it. I'm on GMT.
The forum is set to GMT +1 though.

I'm not sure if you're 'allowed' to call someone an idiot for shoving a carrot up his butt, but if it was my decision, I'd say:
"As long as you phrased it in a way that wasn't offensive as such, but more...critical?"

People argue on here all the time, so criticizing is allowed I think :)

I'm not quite sure what to do with this space

I've been posting to a political Forum (M&G) in South Africa which is quite gladiatorial for almost ten years now

I grew up in SA and with its history people are quite passionate about the past and what is going on in the country at any moment

But the MG Forum is getting a bit ho-hum and besides, it's quite a homophobic space

Went to Blackpool Pride last weekend and decided I needed a whole lot more queer in my life

Well, here I am, the new guy in the bar – how does it work? :cheers2:

What ya see here a lot tends to be questions about coming out, how do you know if you're gay...usually from younger guys. There are questions about how to do(or not do) various kinds of sexually related amusements...see carrots. Relationship questions, philosophy, religion, and assorted thoughts, feelings and fears. The place is pretty civil whith some good debates about viewpoints, gay marriage, rights etc.

It's also a sanctuary of sorts for gay folks to share without the bullshit of Homophobes . Name calling usually isn't cool but the carrot/bleeding thing sort of makes ya wonder...What was he thinking. I'm the Moderator and I tolerate no homophobic bullshit or religious condemnation, it is a sanctuary from everyday the crap that we all catch. Assualtive and demeaning posts don't work well either.

Read through some of the older posts and you'll get the flavor of the place. Hope it works for you here. Have Fun, Steve

No to worry about behaving... just sorta giving you the lay of the land here, glad to have someone fresh show up and share stuff. The place is full of good folks and one more just adds to the flavor.

Mental Health Therapist, A bit of a mixed bag but here goes. Worked about 4 years at as a medical social worker in a Rural Health Clinic, Worked almost 20 years a locked acute care mental hospital, 8 years a a rehabilitation therpist and now in private practice providing group therapy for Paroled Sex Offenders. Also have worked extensively with adolescents. My degree is an MSW with mental health consentration.
Also doing a fair amount of counseling with GLBT population in our rural area.

It's been wild and wooly at time but damn well fun.

And You? Tell us more, whats life like in Germany?

Wow - that sounds pretty intense but I did ask

My little corner of Germany (Frankfurt / Mannheim / Stuttgart triangle) is very conservative – my heart’s not really in it – spend a lot of time dreaming of making it back to an English country

Spent last weekend at Blackpool Pride on the west coast of England. Even though I grew up in South Africa, England feels like home
