    Hey everyone.

I am looking forward to obtaining some good information. I am a cancer patient. I was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in September of
2005. Smoking has helped greatly in increasing my appetite. As a cancer patient, eating is one of the more difficult things to do, but one of the most important in fighting this disease. l have my certificate from the state of Colorado to use and grow for medicinal purposes. I am the founder and director of an agency in the Denver area that works with Developmentally Disabled persons. I have three kids and a great wife who has been my inspiration in fighting my battle. Anyway, I am glad to be aboard, and hope for a better harvest.

I have been grwoing outside with some success, but not sure when to harvest. One plant has purple buds that seem to be well developed, but still has some white flowers showing also. When should this be harvested? Should I wait until end of September? How do I tell for sure.

Other plant has smaller buds, white flowers, just beginning to turn reddish in color. How long should I wait before I harvest this one?

    Any help would be appreciated.

The best way to tell is to get a pocket microscope / jewelers loupe. You want at least 20x and look @ the trichchromes on the plant. Cloudy or Amber and you're ready to harvest.

As a rule of thumb, in the upper USA outdoor crops are done around mid/late Sept - 2nd week October.

keep your hands on the trimmer when you notice the hairs are about 75% amber and the trichchromes are amber.
    also, welcome to the forums.

Hey Howdy DezinLucy! Sory to hear bout the cancer Brudda. I pray your family continues to be a source of comfort and support for you. Blessins on Yous all my Brudda. Youl find good advice at ICmag.com. But as far as how to tell when your Herbs are done you can look at the trichs @ 30x magnification. You want cloudy to amber dependant on how you like it and what the plant is predisposed to. All strains are differant as well as phenotypes, and everybody has a preferance as to when they like to take theyr Herb down. In general, the darker the trichs, the stonier the buzz. Go to ICmag and study on how to determine Flower maturity by trich inspection. If you got a decent digital camera you can get real close to your buds and get good close ups to go by too. Also. While your there. Check out the "Growin" general forum and find a thread by PeanutButer called "I know we have LEO here". Its not what it sounds like, and is in fact a thread about the favorable, beneficial and helpfull effects of Herb in the treatment of many cancers. It seems to be a simple recipe for iso oil, recooked a bit. There dont seem to be much room for dispute as to its effects on the Folks its helped. Theres quite a fyew documented cases where it really kikked ass on some prety bad cancers. It seems like the treatment is iso oil recooked a li'l bit. Mabey you could check that thread out a bit and mabey you might wanna make some oil for Yourselves. It sounds like some prety sound treatment to me. Mabey you could check it out Breth. Well Blessins on Ya, and welcome to the forums.
