Hey there, I'm 17 years old, have a lot of hair and a lot of patience..and have always wanted dreadlocks. I think my hair is finally long enough to do it, Do you think that it would work well? I know you can't give me an answer on if it will work completely, just on my hair type/how it looks/length. Really hoping that soaring eagle will post, I swear I looked at him and looked in to a time machine as to what I'm hoping i will look like someday. About my hair- It already knots up very easily, and is super thick. And its also a bit longer in the back than on the sides. Thanks for your replies, im going to bed.
oh yeah. all hair dreads eventually, but if your hair gets tangled easily and is super thick, you'll have awesome dreads in no time. but it's good you gots patience too! just quit using conditioners, start using a residue free shampoo, and stop combing. or if you want, section it out and backcomb it. good luck!
looks super straight and kinda silky and my opinion. have you already washed it with a deep cleaning concoction? sea salt sprays could also work well, no, very well on it.
get yourself some dr. bronners, brother! check out the dread FAQ thread, there's a ton of information there.
yea get the bronners id do at least 1 deepo cleanse to get out any conditioner residues that built up then just let emdo theyre thing they will come out great
