I was recently researching a lot about salvia, and i was wondering if there was anyway to ensure a good trip. Also, do i absolutely need a "babysitter" who's sober, cuz I was talking to a couple of other people about it and we all wanna try it together. I'd appreciate any input you could put in.
I don't think there's anyway to "ensure" a good trip. However, you might be able to influence the trip with your mindset and environment going into the trip. And I wouldn't look at a trip sitter in the sense that he's is a "babysitter". It's a serious matter, technically speaking, everyone should probably have a sitter for every drug they take (except pot and booze, among others). You simply increase the chance of something bad happening during a drug experience if you don't have a sober person present. As for you and your friends, I'd recommend you all just take turns. The peak of the trip, from what I understand is 10-15 MAX, and then an hour of aftereffects. During the long comedown, other people can smoke while you sit for them I'd think. There are certainly other people who can inform you more as I have yet to even breakthrough. Hoping to do it tonight.
There's no way to ensure a good journey, but you can help avoid the bad journeys by feeling relaxed and safe. What you bring to a salvia ultimately affects how the experience is. It's not really a drug that you'll want to do with lots of people around, it can get kinda scary or intimidating if you have to live up to expectations of multiple observers. It's a pretty meditative drug, and the visuals are all basically creations of how you live and your attitudes. If you have other people with you, you might not feel like you can truely let go of reality and just flow with it. I've experienced it with a sitter and also with a small crowd (5-8 people) and it's a lot more enjoyable in my opinion when you don't have to appease the crowd (could just be me).
i suggest doing salvia alone, and if you do end up doing it with others, dont look them in the eyes. its really strange, but not as strange as doing on LSd.
