It's a lengthy interpretation... I will try to type you through it as I look at a picture of it now. If you start by looking at the bottom right corner in the way the painting is positioned you will see the "M" shaped orange triangle outlined in black. To the right of that is a purple rectangle outlined in black and to the left is another longer bent purple rectangle also outlined in black. This makes up one person here, the purple are the arms extended up by the head and the orange "M" is the head with the opening right under the white triangle is indicative of the mouth open shouting. The white indicates what the person is shouting. You will find the opposite of this in the top left of the painting, another person. Above the orange "M" head is another larger "M" shape not outlined in black. This is the head of delusions of the orange person shouting even louder in an opposing manner from where the black outlined orange head is shouting. Any word can be used here to describe the larger "head".. ego is one that many people would use. You will find a larger "M" shape opposite the purple outlined black head as well. The reason the orange and purple outlined black heads are outlined in black is because these are the real heads somewhat free of delusions and searching together for an end to their own internal sufferings. You will see in the center is a black white and gray bar. This is symbolic that not everything is simply one way or another, "black and white," there is a middle way free of one extreme or another and this is the equanimity represented by the gray rectangle. Both black outlined persons are indeed suffering as their arms are above their heads in such a manner while shouting but they are working together by focusing more on similiarities rather than supposed differences. You will see them shouting in a similar manner, the white triangles. If you look at the heads of delusion they cannot even stand to look at one another and are fiercely opposed shouting their own self absorbed opinons. It has been said that self cherishing is the root of all suffering. So I suppose the meaning is that it is wise to work towards a real solution rather than being deceived by the "solution" that the facet of many minds, called "negativity" "delusion" "ego", throws at an individual. Hope that makes some sort of sense
Hey man thanks...The reason I asked because all the colors seemed to be stacked and designed in a certain layout, like a code. I think none of the specific regions of the work (right corner, left corner) stood up, but I was able to see all of it at once. I like the colors you used. strong not pastel. I would have never interpreted it in any meaning full manner. TO me this is a nice atheistic piece. but like all works of art it has a real important meaning to the creator, without it would have never been made. Thanks for sharing. What are the dimensions of the canvas ? I'm thinking about starting to paint. I have never really tried. Any advice on what to start with ? If you look at the heads of delusion they cannot even stand to look at one another and are fiercely opposed shouting their own self absorbed opinions. It has been said that self cherishing is the root of all suffering.
Your welcome, the dimensions are approx. 3x2ft. I would start with some acrylic paints. You can find them very cheap at any arts & crafts stores.. premixed with water. The solid acrylic is more expensive so I'd recommend the premix because it is so cheap and easy to work with. Just buy some canvas boards/paint brushes and the acrylic I mentioned. You could buy all of those materials easily for $25. Experiment onward.
