I've been snorting oxy for about a year now, started off with about 30 of the 5mg a day, now I'm doing tons of 15s a day.

It seems like the entire inside of my nose is like a constant scab that never heals over. I get nose bleeds when I wake up in the morning and blow my nose. Looking in a mirror it looks like the shape of the inside of my nose is changing too. my nostrils seem to be getting a lot wider, and the skin between the outside of my nose as nostrils seems to be getting a lot thinner.

I'm assuming this is because of the oxy, but my question is, is it actually the oxy doing this, or just the abrasive powder flying up my nose all the time? I'd like to just get some 40s or 80s or something to cut down on the actual volume of powder going up there, but can never find any. But if it's the oxy itself that wouldn't really help

Anyone have any suggestions other than not snorting them?

I dont snort 5mgs OC , sometimes I just might (but normally I only snort 10's . As you can see the 5's are much larger than a 10. as there is much more binder in the 5's .. you can see this more if you drop them in a spoon of water the 10s will be less cloudy than 5's the higher the mg the clearer it will get.. least thats what I think.

is oxycodone usually hydrochloride? if so it's acidic, will damage the nose. nose sprays are vasilloconstrictors and cut off blood supply to the nose so generally make this worse. warm salt water up the nose twice a day can work wonders but this sounds pretty far gone to me...

I have an awesome nose.:D I never even get a plugged nose and I snort aeveryday all day for about 3 years now. The only thing I've noticed is my nose peels off skin off the outside, but other than that I have a perfect snorter.
Thank God Don't know what I would do if I couldn't snort my scripts. I would have to resort to something like plugging them, or even worse, Take them as directed and just eat them...FUCK THAT..LOL

The reason I have to snort them is that the amount I need to get high, if I took orally, would make me sick and throw up. I can snort them and not feel sick at all.

I don't do 5s anymore, just 15s, and it would be great to be able to just flat out stop for awhile, but most people who do oxy on a regular basis knows it's not really that simple.

actuallythe reason you have to snort them is 'hopeless addiction'

i wouldnt worry, you probably wont need your nose when your a little older

and technically they are 'ulcers' in your nose...

I am single with no children, I am successful in my profession, I don't rob people, I'm a functioning and contributing member of society. I'm not hurting anybody but myself. I got addicted to oxy after surgery and haven't been able to stop since. Not that I really owe you any sort of explanation, but there it is. And this is the OPIATE forum we are in, you are probably going to run into quite a few opiate addicts on here, wouldn't you think?

Your an idiot. "i'm so successful...i dont hurt anyone but my self..." Most people on here in the OPIATE forums have very legitimate reasons for being addicted not just " they got addicted after surgery" like DDD or other serious pain issues. If you just "need to get high" by snorting all the time then your not an addict...you ARE a hopeless addict. If your nose is so bad just stop snorting you dumbass and just take them orally and start snorting again once your nose heals. If you dont want to do that just curl up with a huge bottle of liquor and some immodium AD and suffer through withdraw until your nose is better.

I never said I was "so" successful, I was just trying to point out my life is not in shambles because of my drug use. I might have also used the wrong word. To me "high" and "not sick" are the same thing. I don't do oxy for fun. I do it because if if I don't, I get extremely sick, and I still have severe pain, that I'm told will most likely never go away. Sorry if my language wasn't as precise as it should have been.

I was prescribed 240 5mg oxys a month for 5 months after a surgery for my cervical injury. After that they switched me to 10mg methadone. Don't try and tell me you wouldn't get addicted after that. And don't try and tell me I don't have a legitimate reason for taking oxy. My tolerance shot up, and the amount I was prescribed no longer worked. I could take more, but my stomach couldn't handle it. That's why I started snorting it. You should be well aware doctors know you get addicted when taking opiates for long periods of time, they wouldn't have given them to me if it wasn't a legitimate reason.

    Rollingalong,

I wasn't pissed off, I just took you for someone who ventured in here from the non-drug related forums who just wanted to bash drug users. Now that I take your comment as coming from someone who knows about it, and is seriously trying to get people to change their ways, I have no problem. Sorry if I came off hostile. If the withdraws were the only thing I have to deal with I'd try to get off opiates. The sickness might go away after 3 days, but the pain wont. So I'm lost as to what to do, except figure out a way to get the drug into my system with the least damage to my body possible.

Get Suboxone!! They work, I use them on the days I don't have any pills so i don't get sick. Also with doing pills up your nose u risk your teeth rotting from the inside out. think about it all the teeth in your upper jaw around your nostrils is your front ones. you don't wanna loose those do you?:D
