So I've been worrying all memorial weekend including Monday. See on Friday I filled out an application for to go to a different college. After I had gotten home I realized that I had misread the application and didn't put the other college I had been going to. I've been worrying that I won't get into the college because I forgot. I'm hoping that tomorrow I can go down to the college and explain what happened.

I was forced to drop out of the other college because I had dropped a class. I had to drop the class because the teacher had been harassing me about my weight. I felt that I had no choice but to drop the class because I didn't feel that she would stop harassing me, even when I filed the complaint. When I dropped the class no one told me that if I dropped that class that I'd be kicked out of college.

I feel like I got ripped off and I feel so powerless. It seems odd that I'm the one getting punished for the teacher harassing me. I'm wondering if anyone thinks that if I go down to the college I applied at tomorrow that they might be understanding to my situation and maybe let me fix the mistake on the application? Has anyone else been in this kind of situation?

I guess I just really need some opinions about my situation.:(

was you going to school to be a firefighter/> Why then would an instructor be harassing you over weight,, I would file a grievance with the administration and seek a lawyer ..

I've been going for massage therapy. I didn't understand it either. My weight didn't make it any harder to do it. My mom thinks I should just let it go, but it makes me so mad.

as long as youre healthy.. Everyone is shaped differently. I dont know what gives the instructor the right to judge your character on your weight..
I wouldnt let them discourage you, cause they are going to bill you and get paid regardless you go, quit or continue to go..
These schools are in the business of making money for themselves. If you quit, you'll be chased by bill collectors..
If your state funded, grant allows you to go back- which in most cases they have to,. Seek Attorney generals offices assistance if you cant though some administrative remedy at the school. The grant office and loan officers shouldnt give you the run around if you give them the business. They either allow you to take the classes free -test and pass you so you can pay their (fucking loans back) you can use that language if they dont understand you the first time..

you are not powerless!!! There are laws to protect you. The government is not going to keep giving money to these schools and its citizens get nothing in return. the government dont get their money back cause you got no degree or job.
Go back to school and get whats rightfully yours, if your willing to work hard and earn it...

Its state funded luckily I should have listened to my friend. They told me not to go there. That school is a fucking joke. It will hopefully lose its state funding soon. I think I'll talk to a lawyer about it. I'm hoping I don't have any problems getting into this school. A lot of people know that, that school isn't as good as they say they are. If I have any problems because of that school, I'm gonna raise hell. I just hope it goes smoothly.

Point one, that's bullshit that your teacher was able to treat you that way, totally not your fault, fuck her.

Point two, definitely go down to that other college, worse case scenario, you are where you are now, best case you can leave that bitch of a teacher and her college behind and get on with your degree.

So DEFINITELY go explain yourself to that other college, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing so, good luck :)

I called the college I applied to this morning all I have to do is get my transcripts from the other school. I'm glad they understood the situation. I just hope that getting my transcript from the other college shouldn't be a big deal.

Its really irritating because they are saying I owe the school a thousand dollars, but that can't possibly be true because I went half way through the quarter without paying that. I was completely covered at the beginning so I don't understand where that thousand dollars is coming from. Hopefully the women I spoke to on Friday will get the problem fixed like she said she would.

I am not going back to that school no matter what, I deserve a better education then I would have gotten there. Plus I'm not about to be humiliated in front of the entire class again. I'm gonna try to figure out what I can do to get the money back from that class. It was way to expensive and I don't feel that it'd be fair that I would have to pay it.
