Have you ever felt so braindead, you just can't focus. And you're neither happy nor sad? Even though I should feel both.

It's really strange, I feel numb so goddamn numb, I've never felt this strange before. It's not a "I'm numb so I'm gonna cut myself" feeling though, it's not angst at all.

But at the same time, I'm watching from my head. And I'm happy, because it's like I'm watching a soap opera. It makes me smile, I can't help but laugh at everything.

My question is, am I fucked up?!

 

Yeah, when I tried suicided three time the past winter, by swallowing more than 120 Rivotrils each time... I really felt numb the next day and they make you drink that charcoal shit if they can revive you... However, you do feel cool for the next few days - you fell nothing - you feel...numb...

I felt that way the day after I rolled for the first time. I also feel that way when I haven't had weed in a while and sometimes after a MASSIVE xanax binge.

when I'm on 400mg of my seizure meds very numb yes.....

 

I've had 3 hours of sleep in the past 78 hours.

The only reason I'm awake now is a lot of pills and coffee. I'm all done with tests now though, and it was worth it to bring two D's to B's and assure two A's.

Next term I'm gonna just work a little harder so I don't have to go balls to the wall in a few days. I was going to go out partying tonight but I couldn't hang.

Fun fact, an MRI of a sleep deprived person is almost identical to one of a Coke addict who is in withdrawl.

 

mri's make you happier simply because of the high electro magnetic field, in fact the field of a 45 minute mri is about the same as a 24 hour dose of anti-depressant (I don't know which anti depressant, I just know that's what the study said)

MRI's are a form of imaging which use some form of electromagnetic resonence to create an image of neural pathways, It's sorta like an X-ray that doesn't use ionizing radiation so it's safe to aim at a brain. It's mostly used to detect tumors but it's becoming more popular in general neuroscience to detect brain chemistry abnormalities. It does this by noticing which parts of the brain need more O2.

A more active part of the brain consumes hemoglobin in areas that are more active, and that shows up in MRI's so thats how they determine is going on in your brain. In the case of cocaine addicts who haven't gotten their fix, and sleep deprevation, both show much lower levels of dopamine and serotonin release.

I don't think it's ever been used to alter brain chemistry. I think your thinking of electric shock therapy or something.

 

Actually, I don't think any neurohormones are even slightly magnetic, so I don't think any amount of magnetism could change brain function.

nope, there was a thing where they were trying to determine the affects of an anti depressent in a study via mri and the electromagnetic field itself affected the peoples moods in a positive way, it's the same way as they use those panels to turn on and off certain circuits (I'm assuming you've actually seen this, it's really fracking cool, it also will seriously elevate someones mood, it's not an electric shock, it's standard electromagnetic resonance and people's moods are elevated by it, it's fracking cool)

 

Thats pretty cool. I'll try looking around google for that sometime, I really didn't think an MR could effect brain function.

Course I've only taken high school health, so thats no surprise.

I wonder if anyones ever tried to cop a high from an MRI. Probably a lot more expensive then crack.

And Quest looked it up on wikipedia and they said the same thing about no theraputic value.

I also googled FMRI thereaputic value and didn't find anything. I did see something about it being used as a benchmark, for DBS (which is like a brain pacemaker the implant) but nothing came up right away. I'm pretty sure MR couldn't effect brain chemistry as neurochemicals wouldn't respond to a magnetic responce.


I still think you're thinking of something else.


Also, what do you think about breast size? I'm more in the handfull camp, but big ones are nice too.
