Nvidia details its itty bitty GB10 superchip for local AI development This is Nvidia's first All-in-Wonder chip, capable of one petaflop, and designed for working with simplified AI models. Note that this particular chip is two chips just bolted together using their nvidialink, and for the first desktop supercomputer its way overpriced. So overpriced, that Nvidia slapped cheaper ram on it. In other words, they're counting on 60 processors and their newest GPU to make up the difference for using slow ram. It gives us some idea of what prices are going to be like, because it's obvious these kinds of chips will eventually replace the vast majority of graphics cards. Within three years, this chip could sell for one third the price, or a thousand dollars for a wimpy AI computer, and three thousand for a decent one.
