anyone heard of 'em? i'll imagine there'll be a fair few from the states, but is there anyone else, say from the UK, or Europe, like them? ...i know this has nothing to do with weed in the main term, but ive been 'diggin' these guys for over 2 years now (they're pure quality while high mind) and ive never met anyone, or knew, of anyone who liked them. go check them out on myspace if you havnt www.myspace.com/ofarevolution ...so yeah, comments people [= x
very overrated....the best part about when I saw them in spring of 04 was spearhead opened...franti is sick....this belongs in either the stoner's lounge or in the music forum
Yeah... oar is probably one of the worst bands since DMB. They got all the press that should have went to Dispatch, a far superior band. They can't improvise live, they write empty songs, they sold out early... all in all they suck a lot. -Mike
i don't care what everyone thinks about them being overrated or whatever. if music sounds good, high or sober, i listen to it. I think O.A.R. is good.
IMO OAR is so shitty that mind-altering substance of some kind is necessary to tolerate them. This is the kind of band that causes ridicule on the jam scene.
how about jack johnson. hes another one i wasnt crazy about till my old gf dragged me to a few of his shows too.
i have a freind thats a jr and his oler brother chills with them, gets to go to their concerts back stage and blazes with them. i dont get it unles theyre from kansas or sumthin
i like some of their old songs, but their new stuff isnt really my thing. i like em, i can't say i dont because the first time i got high was at an OAR concert, and i cant bash that
You probably would have bled from the ears due to your auditory cortex's response to the uber garbage that is OAR if you didn't have some MJ to dull your senses.
They're from Maryland I think. I started listening to them probably 6 years ago or so... and they were ok if you liked bland pop rock. Thankfully it only took me about til I was 15 or 16 to grow up and learn what good music is. The thing about oar is that if you've been to one show you've been to them all. Oh yeah... to the original poster. It's "...o.a.r." If I'm not mistaken. -Mike
