Going to Budapest for 5 days on October 24th on a freebie with the parents. Looking forward to it, it's meant to be a lovely city!
It's a fascinating city full of some of the most beautiful girls I've seen. Drink Unicum (nasty name but great -bitter-spirit. Drink it with the hemingway method) and the Tokaji wine. I recommend both. They also have a soup called the goulash, but that's originally a turkish soup (called: kul aþý)
I heard the Goulash is basically just a glorified stew. I can't wait to check out the Turkish baths, they'll be lovely some morning after to much of the Tokaji wine!!
history of Goulash as I know it: Goulash (originally called the "kul aþý") soup came to Hungry by Turkish invasions. Kul aþý means, food for the peasants. It has many veggies and some meat in it, very nutritious and was especially cooked for the imperial soldiers called the "Kapý kulu" (a different branch of janissaries) Baths in the ottoman empire were the places where people had feasts. I doubt whether they still allow it in the mens section. But enjoy it man!
