Hi, I have never formally introduced myself. My name is Anabelle. Anyway, I just wanted to know why so many people find my username to be offensive. I've posted a few things here and people are all like "I don't want to call you by that name", and things like that. I picked this name, I want people to call me by it. This is not the only place this has happened. I know people are more open minded here so I will never be kicked out for having an unusual creative username, but I was on Yahoo and I was part of a group there. I never really posted much, but then I had some questions and when I posted, everyone was nice at first and answered my questions, but then some asshole who thinks he can censor the whole fucking internet, comes on there and he is like you can't be here if you have "undue vulgarity and/or innuendo, in the best interest of all here, can not be tolerated. This includes "tongue in cheek" user names." I don't find my user name to be vulgar nor am I making any innuendos. I chose this years and years ago, because there are very limited creative usernames out there anymore and quite frankly I would really like to tell people who bother me to FUCK OFF! But on Yahoo you cannot use the word Fuck. Therefore I changed it to Phuckoff, but again that was taken so I put an extra p in front of it. Maybe I'm not getting something here. I don't want to be part of that group anyway, if this is how they treat people, but why is my user name offensive to anyone. It is just a name. Not only that but when questioned about my name on this other board, I explained the whole spam thing and how it was basically my spam account you know when you have to sign up for things in order to go to a website, like a lot of news papers now. I wanted an email addy that I could just give and not have to worry about. One that was annonymous. I'm sorry for the rant but this is just really really bothering me.

Actually, now that I think about it, with a name like 'pphuckoff' wouldn't it be fun to refer to yourself in the third person all the time?: "I'm sorry, but pphuckoff does not enjoy playing tennis..." "Yes. Pphuckoff would like a quarter pounder with cheese." "Can pphuckoff use your lavatory? Pphuckoff has to pee." *LOL* Just rolls off the tongue. Like that guy Letterman paid to go to a restaurant and end every sentence with 'you son of a bitch.'
So pphuckoff, if people have a problem with your name,just spell it out for them and tell them to FUCK OFF.Fuck is,fuck is,fuck is just a word,and if it wasn't for fuckin' none of us would be here. More power to you.
I think your name is really cool. They prabably kicked you off because they were upset they didn't come up with it.
The nic shows "attitude" and not a positive one, nor is it inventful....and probably rather immature. However, each to their own. Would be curious as to why you picked that though.
Certainly I would share why I picked it. I had a regular old Yahoo mail account right. Well all of a sudden I started getting tons and tons and tons of spam. I know that everyone gets spam, but it is quite annoying and this was before they had such a thing as a spam mailbox. And then I realized the sites I was going to for news and other perfectly legitimate things kept asking me to sign up. Or places like Trumajority.org, who refuses to take you off their mailing list even after you have asked them 10 times in such a sweet way. There were just too many places where I couldn't get my name off the list. So I got a new "real" username and email account which I only gave to friends and family, and I got an account specifically for spam and for signing up for things. Similar to what people do with PO boxes. I also used it to go to yahoo groups because they often get innundated with spam as well. That and the fact that I really didn't want everyone in the world with access to the internet to find me and bother me in any way. Also because I had some questions about my love life (as I've posted here) and I didn't want those who knew me elsewhere or in real life to find out. Now I've already explained that Phuckoff is meant to be FUCK OFF, as in for the spammers to fuck off. Get away from me. Stop sending me spam. It was pretty much a fake email account and a fake username so people couldn't figure out who I was. I suppose some people could say that I have an attitude problem, and call me silly, but I just don't like the fact that people would judge me based solely on my username. I mean I don't like a lot of people's usernames, but I can't say I don't like the people because of it. I don't know the people. And I never did or said anything to have these people not like me. I asked a perfectly legitimate question and got many good responses. Then out of nowhere someone posted that my username was vulgar and a sexual inuendo. I'm not sure, perhaps that person has too much pent up sexual energy and read entirely too much into my name. But I'm offended because he doesn't know me. He assumed something about me with no reason to. So I inquire, are you SummerNymphO, a nymphomaniac in the summertime. I can find more sexual inuendo in that than in my name. There are many usernames out there that might seem immature. I personally just have a sense of humor, but I am actually quite intelligent and responsible... ooozing maturity from my pores. Might I add, non-judgemental. What would be a better attitude for me to portray? Hi I'm sweetienicegirl, please be my friend. And my issue was that if they didn't like my username, they should have said something 2 years ago when I joined that group. And it should be the same rules for everyone. I professional expertise has nothing to do with my username and they should not have told me that I could not use it.
Also, this username is almost exactly the opposite of who I really am. I haven't got this sort of bad attitude. I'm actually a really nice person.
I think it's funny, I just can't say it or my momma would still wash my mouth out with soap, even after ALLLL these years.
